Thanks, that is good to know. I will take measurement and will see how flat the frequency response will be when placed on it's side vs upright, if I do indeed get the LFM-1 EX this black Friday.

The form says the key would be made available within 48 hours, but it could be they were thinking business days.

Thanks!! Someone in another thread referred me over here. I had recently bought a Yamaha RX-A2000 but no speakers to go with it - and I'm hoping to avail the Black Friday deals to but a 3.1, 5.1 or 7.2 speaker configuration for the receiver.

I had been looking at Outlaws but the pricing was above my budget ... hopefully something can fit my $500 Sub budget in their sale.

In addition to registering for the private sale, they also say that they are having a "Cyber-Week Promo." If the subs aren't in the private sale, most likely they'll have something the Monday after.

OK. Outlaw says that the LFM-1 series was designed in consultation with Dr. Hsu (see under Dual Ported Down-firing Design). Beyond that, I've heard all kinds of statements about how all the subs were designed by him (which is different from consultation), how the subs are HSU parts, to how they are manufactured in the same plant.

Anyone know the true story behind HSU's involvement? Are there are any other sources that give more detail about this?

Just got the email w/ my key and sale link. Sale starts 12:01 am EST on the 25th and ends 11:59 EST on the 26th. Anyone know if there is going to be registration needed to gain access to their Cyber Sale?

Question, would this key allow to get in twice? i.e. go into sales link to look at sales price and back out ... then go back in later time (same day) and purchase item(s).

I just read the entire email and it does not state one time use only. So I'm guessing you can use the key to access more than once.

I just clicked the private link hoping to see the sale item(s). Say's something like opps right place but you are early. Would really like to know what the sale will be. Everyone is assuming it'll be the LFM-1 EX, but have no clue right now.

I tried it as well and same thing. I'm hoping it is the LFM-1 EX as that's the one I need to match up with the HSU VTF-3.

15-20% off with free shipping really sounds good but I doubt that will be the case.

I believe they are comparable to the hsu vtf3. Definitely a jump fromthe bic

Agreed. The PL-200 can keep up with the EX at 50hz, but then it's frequency response looks like a black diamond ski slope from there, and consequently does not do well at all below 30hz (PL-200 and EX frequency response graphs, both measured by Ricci). Meanwhile, the EX has better SQ (sound quality).
