I just remember liking how dynamic max ouput sounded. tron has a lot of thumping techno bass that falls into that mid bass region where max output mode really shines imo.

The outlaw (in audioholics test) seem to be very similar in both modes in the mid bass area. Same in my room! Crappy room

mine sounded different because I used max ext for my audyssey setup. so when I switched it to max out I got a different response and sound.

I preferred max ext. Ran audyssey each time I changed them from max output to max extension.

Same here but I mean with a dual sub setup. Have one playing at max out and one playing at max ext. at the same time.

I wouldn't recommend it. A 18hz eq might not work well for a 25hz eq. But that's me yay for options!

I was really impressed with Tron's LFE ... my EX's had to work overtime in this movie . Some of the scene I thought the tv was going to fall off the wall .
