Hi brian6751, have try both and prefer max ext mode. Plus would be too much a hassle (lazy ).
+1
I just remember liking how dynamic max ouput sounded. tron has a lot of thumping techno bass that falls into that mid bass region where max output mode really shines imo.
Hi jgourlie, what!!! No pure epic destruction in my room?
I haven't ran audyssey yet as this sub is for my new theater....have it turned down...but it is pretty awesome as it is...epic destruction will come soon
I'm surprised you guys find this interesting. I have had a couple of subs with multiple tuning options and it was suggested to set the sub for the best extension for audyssey and then change the tuning whenever I wanted but leave audyssey alone.

I wouldn't recommend it. A 18hz eq might not work well for a 25hz eq. But that's me yay for options!
Just hooked up my Plus real quick and am watching Tron with it on.....so far so good
I was really impressed with Tron's LFE ... my EX's had to work overtime in this movie . Some of the scene I thought the tv was going to fall off the wall .
