Anybody in the Houston area want to buy some plus's. I have two for sale and they both have more than 2 years of warranty left on them. PM me if you do. I will not ship these bad boys.
May be interested. Don't live there but my sister does. Any chance you live in the southwest area of Houston near Sugarland?
So I finally got my EX set up in my dedicated theater room and am not "feeling" the bass in my main listioning position like I thought I would. If I walk around to the edges of the room (especially the corners) I can really feel and hear it. It's as if there is a hole in the middle of the room.
Any suggestions on where to place this thing and how to orient it? Right now it's about 4 feet from the left wall and 6 feet from the right wall and about 6-10 inches from the front wall. A sub crawl would be difficult to do at this point as the AVR is about 30 feet away and there is no cabling near my LP. Can I combine 2 cables with an RCA connector?
Yes you can combine cables. You can also get a wireless solution from Outlaw. If you just bought your subwoofer, you might even be able to get it cheaper than the normal price, I'd certainly ask if that's the way you go.

Subwoofer crawl is your first item to start with!
I don't need a wireless solution once I get it positioned correctly, just for the crawl. I'll try combining a couple cables I have and see if I can get it close to my MLP.

You coming up North...for x-mas or anything anytime soon? Might buy a PLUS soon
Just ordered an LFM-1 Plus, after a looong period of consideration and research. Can't wait to fire it up! Given the holiday, anybody have an idea what kind of a turnaround time I'm looking at on delivery?

Normally, a couple days. Remember, the holiday rush is in full swing so...who knows?
The new LFM1 PLus (my second) arrived after only about a week. Huge difference of course....
I have them both at about 2 (volume) and my trim level is at -1 so thats about right however when I recalibrated (Anthem receiver) i am not exactly where i want to be but thats an issue for another forum....
But anyways....Yea it made a huge difference. Almost overkill for my room but of course we all know thats not really possible is it.....Yea 499 shipped was a steal. Happy I got it...Happy holidays
Took the deal on the plus for 499, just wondering if I should place the new sub where my old one was. Or, does optimal placement depend on the individual subwoofer? thanks
depends on your room. If you have a big room max output might be the best option.
Dedicated room of about 2500 sq.ft. Sub is currently located on a sand filled stage about 6-8 inches from back wall and 2 feet from side wall. (i did a sub crawl and this seemed like the best place) Seating is on a insulation filled platform. It seems like my MLP is in a null but I can't really move the sub anywhere else.

Don't bet your life cause it does matter. I have tested three subs in each location of the other and some subs performed better in a certain location compaired to the others and vice versa.
So far I'm enjoying it. Did you guys notice a difference in output/overall sound after the "break-in" period?
I'm currently running it ar +3db on the avr and have the volume knob on the plus set at 4. Its close to the right side of the room but about 5 feet away from the corner. I have it with the outlaw logo (front) facing the right wall.
Would it be better if I placed it in the left corner of the room with the logo facing towards me?
Break-in did nothing for me, audibly. It never does though.
The only thing I noticed during the break-in period, was that the smell of the inside of the enclosure, a mix of wood and insulation, that would pump into the room after a bass heavy scene, disappeared after a couple weeks. I miss that smell.
