I hate to be a thread crapper but Buy.com sucks, don't be surprised if you get the SD only version, this type of thing has happened with them many times going back years for me, just recently I ordered the Pat Metheny HD-DVD on their big google sale, I waited 3 months for them to get it back in stock because when I ordered it said in stock, what did I get after 3 months?, a Paul Mccartney SD DVD add to that poor shipping practises and horrid customer service

never again, if they were giving away HD/BD's at 5$ each I wouldn't bite, hopefully other people will have better luck

PS. I ordered Batman begins SD dvd from buy.com and they shipped me the HD-DVD, so it all balances out....well except for you I guess. :-)

yep, on my batman hd-dvd screw-up they wanted me to ship it back at my expense and then they would sent me the right one. Kinda never got around to it.
they do screw up occasionally, but I used them for tons of stuff during the holidays $10 off $30 deals. I must have had well over 50-60 orders and all were fine. Now of course, I have jinxed myself....

Its the HD DVD Combo. At least mine is.

I bought mine on the 17th when binister started this thread. Checking the status it shows a shipped date of 5/18 but when I click the link to track the package it says, "the USPS was notified on 5/24 to expect your package for mailing". What's up with that?

Seems everyone else is getting their orders OK.

Same thing for me. But I have bought plenty of stuff with Buy.com with no issues. I'll give it till Tuesday to call.

FWIW, I ordered May 18, supposedly shipped May 18, arrived today May 25.

USPS tracking states:

Status: Shipment Accepted
Your shipment was accepted/picked up at 5:55 PM on May 21, 2007 in SEATTLE, WA 98168
I live about 20 miles and several zip codes from 98168. The mailing label on the packet says May 19 and return address Freemont CA.

I have ordered lots of stuff from buy.com and never had a problem. OTOH, I have never found USPS tracking to be particularly useful....

Received the dual-sided HD-DVD/regular DVD. Many thanks to binister for the heads up.
