I've run into a disturbing issue with my new Westinghouse LCD, and it may be a deal-breaker for me.
Occasionally, over component video, 480i sources (like my PS2) will get very choppy for a few seconds. This then goes away for a good while (10-15 minutes), then rears its ugly head again.
Is this an issue with the Xilleon chipset? Or is this the sign of a defective TV, which will prompt a return to Best Buy? In any case, it is very annoying.
I also encountered some stutter with an SNES hooked up via S-Video, and I'm becoming more convinced that the issue is definitely with the TV itself, and not my cabling.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to have to take my first HDTV back, I'm not sure of any good alternatives in the same price range if this is an issue with all sets.
