cheapest place for demo/used Lexicon DC-1's on the web

i have looked on Ebay but haven't seen much under 2k. My budget is $1500 max. and for that price i would like a fully loaded version(version 4.0 EX, DD, DTS, THX). As long as it has DD and THX processing i would consider purchasing it. Several months ago i saw several DC-1's in this price range but now that i am in the market of course they are few and far between. Thanks. Regards.

I picked up my used DC-1 at www.audiogon.com .Do a search for lexicon. I don't remember seeing any DC-1's a few days ago but keep looking they do pop up. I have noticed that they also do not take very long to sell. I paid $1800 for a loaded DC-1 (ver.4 DTS) approx 6 months ago. One of the best purchases I have ever made. Hope this helps.
I just did a search look hear.. http://gonmain.iserver.net/cgi-bin/c...proc&984119998

Audiogon (or even here) is the best place. Or you could try rec.audio marketplace.

The going rate is $1700-1800 for a loaded v4 unit, although if you are crafty you could get one for less. I bought mine for $1300 as a v2 and then bought the upgrade separately for $150 so it can be done.

Be very careful on both Audiogon.com and Audioweb.com when looking for a Lex (or any other piece of gear, for that matter). I got scammed for $2100 on a loaded DC-2 by a professional con man, so be especially wary if you find a price that seems too good to be true. The guy who scammed me used the name "Mark Weber", from the Irving, Texas, area, but he could just as easily have changed names and addresses. I am sure that the vast majority of people on these sites are honest, but I just want to alert you to the potential danger. I would really hate to see another person taken by this same unscrupulous individual, as he has robbed at least 4 people that I know of on the Lexicon scam already. If you want to know more, see my thread entitled "Does a Lexicon DC-2 for $2100 seem too good to be true?" in this forum.

There is a gentleman in the classified section with an ad for a DC-1 for $1300, but I have no idea how it is loaded. Anyway, here is the ad:
