GOOD NEWS - A thread on DigitalHome . CA is explaining that CBRT-DT & CBXT-DT have both been online at times today testing things out...

I'd post the URL though I need more posts before I can do that.

CBC have purchased an additional 10Kw transmitter for their Calgary site and this should raise the ERP drastically (> 200Kw) next year (2012)! This should for the most part eliminate many poor pockets of reception!

I have now heard that the new OTA CBC English service on channel 21 will start this summer.

CBC have changed their mind and are now supplying an additional 22Kw transmitter for their Calgary site instead of the 10Kw unit and this is expected to raise the ERP to (507Kw) later this year! This will eliminate many poor pockets of reception and extend the service area to the old Channel 9 analog service limits! biggrin.gif

Just heard the the new CBC UHF antenna is being installed in March this year. This means that we should expect the new improved coverage to begin on April 1st. ERP going from 23.5 KW up to 507 KW. The EHAAT is also being increased as detailed in the CRTC application. The result should be a much improved service coverage in Calgary and surrounding area. smile.gif
