Keep meaning to take a pic of the completed theater.. but I'm in the middle of having the equipment rack mounted flush (had to bust into the utility room next to it) so it's not pretty now..

But I WILL take a pic when I get home tonight.

From now on I'm going to call you HollyH. Why HollyH? Well, she was a tease just like you....maybe tonight will be THE night she always said after a few drinks.

However, it never was....just like your promises to post pictures. I've been waiting to see your finished theater for nearly a year. Tease!!!!!

Very Funny! I use the squirrel tactic at times when I think my kids aren't paying attention to me, like they have the look of they are listening to the teacher from the Charlie Brown specials. Seems to work to snap them back. Maybe it will work for Utah.

Haha.. what a bunch of comedians..lol

Here's a crappy cell phone pic of the theater last night. My wife got me the lighted movie poster frames last week.

Wow great work Utah, 6 seats wide... That is some room.

2 rows of 6 - NICE!
I wish I had that many friends

Those were great teaser photos, but they leave me hungry for more (more light and more megapixels)

I suck at pics. I'll see what I can do though..

Ever since I put the seats in, 18 months ago now. I've been debating whether or not to put a third row in the front. They would be about 8-10 feet away. I wouldn't sit that close, but I think the kids would love it..

Why not get something the kids would love and something you can put away when you want it to look nice? Like a couple of those giant (like 8 foot wide) bean bags. I used to love having beanbags in our home theatre growing up.

That's not a bad idea...

more pics utah? I'd love to see your hidden door again...
Being a fellow Utahn and just finding this thread, I wanted to bump for more pics of the hidden door.

I'm pretty sure you live about 6 blocks from me...but I won't stalk you like someone did previously (apparently).

Here's a hidden door pic (different theater) but designed/built by a native of Utah.

The door is the back left panel.

---added another one. In "Curtains" the hidden door is the first panel on the right. Its not that big in real life ... distortion from the wide angle lens.

I just have to tell you that you got SO lucky you didn't have OSHA come out and shut you down for not having it benched back every 5 feet, etc. We did a similar excavation, digging out a basement right next to the existing house, and the city (we're in Nevada) and OSHA shut us down for a while. Had to get soil tests, fill it back up 1.5 foot at a time, re-compact it, then try again. What a nightmare .

And... AWESOME room!
