Duel surrounds, series or parallel???

I have 2 sets of surrounds; do I wire them in series or parallel? I don't have the option to get sepperate amps. I have them in series now but is it right?

Serial is an easier load on the amp, however the first
speaker is changeing the sound somewhat (I don't think it is audiable)!
4+4 = 8 ohm

If connected in parallell, the signal should be devided evenly between the speaker(if they have the same ohm ratings!)
This can be a very heavy load on the amp (not recommended for 5 channel amps)!
4 / 2 = 2 ohm!
