Played about 4 hours so far. I've got to get the MS wheel. This game is seriously fun.

This is my first wheel so I think it'll take me a while to get used to it.

Mine force feedback often skews the wheel a little to the right. It's annoying in theory, but while i'm playing I never notice it.

Also, i'm not sure if there are really any drivers that you need to load. I bought my wheel used, so there weren't any instructions or the PGR3 disc, but when I synced the wheel to the xbox, it immediately just worked.

... and I agree that the wheel can take a bit getting used to if you're used to playing with a controller. Stick with it and i think you'll find that you have an advantage over people using the controller.

20% complete so far, only had a few hours to play yesterday but the game is very good.

The game is too much about building a car and less racing. I will rent this game for like a month then I will buy it for like 30$ I just cant do it anymore guys 60$ is to much for me. I can get the same game and play it now then buy it for cheaper. I am confused about this game dont think I am a forza basher because the first one was the best racing game.

You should read the Gamespot review. It's far more accurate than the IGN review.

after some flip flopping between Forza and Shadowrun in Circuit city, I chose Forza because it has 3 good reviews I have read so far and shadowrun had none. I got Table Tennis for free with it, so it was quite a deal. I bailed out of work this morning and got some in. Very impressed! The jaggies in my opinion aren't as bad as they were in the demo, but this is highly debatable. Me likey!

I did the same thing. My amazon preorder ship date was pushed back to June 14, so I picked the game up at gamestop at lunch yesterday. Then amazon came through last night and emailed me the download code for the bonus car I'll be cancelling my order today

The IGN review sucks. It seems to me from reading the review, the guy just wants to play Need for Speed since he dosen't feel the "speed" in Forza...

My Amazon preorder got pushed back to June 4. That's not too bad, but it says my item is "Shipping Soon" so I can't just cancel it. Amazon got one hell of an email from me today, given I paid for expedited shipping also.

That reviewer obviously didn't race the Nürburgring circuit with the pedal to the metal (make that plastic ). Yesterday I raced 3 laps (free run) using the MS wheel sitting 8 feet away from my 72" HDTV on the Nürburgring circuit with a class R4 Imprezia. Let me tell ya that it was a total BLAST!!

Pure Adrenalin.

Damn, i was totally blown away by the crap graphics due to the demo and chose not to purchase it but you guys are making me want it again. And 3/4ths of my game collection are racing games :O

Yea, I really don't have a clue what the IGN reviewer was expecting in this game. Forza never once tried to pass itself off as any old driving game, it's advertised as a driving simulation. Most people that like the arcade style play of most racing games don't like Forza because it forces them to drive more like real like and less like a video game.

The demo's graphics were never crap, but the full version does seem to be better contrary to what a few people here refuse to believe. There were rumors of a pre-release anti-aliasing patch whic many here doubted because nothing was ever officially posted. There is an patch to be installed as soon as you start the game. I don't know what it does, but I can say that the aliasing does seem to be much improved over the demo version.

I never saw the confirmation of an AA patch, but I agree, it looks smoother. Che from Turn 10 did say that the update included some online fixes.

What level are people playing, and what view are you using?

I'm starting intermediate, but I might notch it down (yeah I know...) and I have compared 3rd person to hood view, and got much better times with hood. You can better gauge the distance from the tip of the car to the road... obviously, I guess.

My Forza 2 order from Amazon was showing June 18th yesterday, but I couldn't cancel it because it was showing as being prepared for shipment. Was going to go ahead and buy it locally (returning the Amazon one) - but, today I get the "your order has shipped email" from Amazon. Not complaining.

Just an awesome game. The physics, cars and tracks all rock! I personally hate fake race and city track so having actual road racing circuits was quite welcomed. Played for about 5hours yesterday and can't stop thinking about it all day today. Neet to get home!

After playing the N-ring on froza2, there is simply no room for PGR3 comparisons. This is downright awesome. You can actually see the track far into the distance. Coming down hills you get a beautiful view of the country side or the small tourist hangouts. Coming down the straight out of the last corner you can see the entire forest along with the old Castle. In the beginning of the track you can even see the F1 circuit next to you!

Since I used an Audi R8 for all my track runs, it was very cool to see how that car, without any tuning was suited well for smooth circuits such as Silverstone but protested heavily at tracks like the ring and the infamous Laguna dip going up the hill on Turn 6. Normally in other games, the car has a certain trait that is flat from track to track but in Forza2 the car characteristics were based on the circuit itself and would alter dramatically track to track.

If I don't spend atleast 200+ hours on this, I'll be very shocked. So far the best $60 I've spent on a 360 game in terms of price to playtime ratio.

honestly i hated the demo too, but the game is soooo much fun. i now agree with everyone, the gameplay makes up for anything that's missing in the gfx department.

The only thing that's "missing" in the graphics department is the weird HDR lighting. It needs a re-work for Forza 3.

well i dont feel like nitpicking, because the game is that good, but it could use a little HDR, yea, and the reflections need some work, more AA/AF would be nice, higher res textures for certain track/environment elements, etc etc.

but the gameplay is so good that none of that really matters, and i havent even touched online multiplayer.

I got my copy yesterday... wonderful wife grabbed it from Fry's. Played some career and online with friends. LOVING IT!

I picked this up yesterday and man am I overwhelmed by how much there is to do! I was only able to spend a couple hours with it last night and most of my time was spent just exploring all of the customization features. The tuning menu makes me wish I knew a lot more about cars - guess I'll have to start learning!

The help option in the tuninng menu helps a lot. It explains what everything does but not how each thing can help your current car condition. WHich is teh whole point of tuning.

Is there an option to change the controls in this game? There wasn't in the demo so i'm not sure i would enjoy it.

I like to have down/up shift on the triggers, and gas/brake/ebrake on the face buttons. this comes from years and years of GT on psx..
It's so satisfying to transfer my real world tuning setups to the in game cars, and have them react the same way. It worked well in Forza 1, but this time it's much more accurate.

Yes there is. And from the dashboard, you can set your 360 up to automatically pick your preferred layout for a driving game, shooter, etc.

I was waiting to get it from the CompUSA in my town (I get games at cost), but they don't even have any on order yet (Means they are having issues getting them). One of the two BestBuys have sold out and the Circuitcity has sold out also. Some of the gamestops (Tons of them) have sold out too.......I am pointing this out because I believe that the game is selling very well and I am going to just get it today from one of the store that still have it in stock. I'm glad its selling good and I hope it is a big seller............

Yes I have that setting in the dashboard but it didn't do anything in the demo.

<----applying flame suit
best game I've ever played. Puttin it right out there. Played the christmas out of it last night on the projector at 120 inches and loved every minute of it. My eyes felt like they were going to burst, but it was sick! Raced head up against my bro in law and got smoked and it was still fun! Funny thing was he made this car that says "www.mynamesucks.com", except insert my name where my name is . It was insulting, yet brilliant. I'm in the process of drawing my bro in law having relations with a large barnyard animal on the side of my audi. Pictures soon
