Sony recently released a firmware update (v1.80) for the PS3 enabling video content to be streamed from your PC to the PS3 using the DLNA standard. So I captured some HD video as a .TP file and converted it to MPEG using the Dvico Fusion Gold capture card and the converter that comes bundled with it. Then I tried to stream the video to my PS3 using Windows Media Player 11 (which enables the user to stream video to DLNA-compatible devices such as the PS3), but the PS3 says that the data is corrupted. Am I doing something wrong or is the PS3 not capable of allowing the user to play HD video captured from the Fusion video card?
I have successfully streamed videos with my other TV capture card (ATI All In Wonder) to the PS3 with no problems. The ATI card captures video in standard definition and automatically outputs the files to MPEG format. The Divico card captures HD content as a .TP file and must be converted to MPEG in order to be viewed on the PS3.
The following link shows the files formats that the PS3 can play: http://manuals.playstation.net/docum...filetypes.html
Here is another link that details the PS3 DLNA feature: http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Ne...date.html#DLNA
Look under "Using the DLNA client feature"
Any ideas on how I could resolve this issue?
