i got my movie today as well. only took 2 weeks from france media mail i was suprised as media mail in the US takes just as long. i'm going to watch it tonight..

la granue vadrouille, does anybody have any information on this film. I want to import it but am unsure if theirs french subs. As can help as I learn french.
I bought L'armée des ombres it has french audio but now french subs. I was able to make out some of what they were saying.. But not all. French seems like a much "softer" laguage compared to english anyway..

Thanks. I think ill import it despite the subs as I've really enjoyed all my french imports.

has anyone picked up the island on hd-dvd? How is the PQ and AQ of this movie? I really want this movie, but I want to see how the reviews are for this movie first.

I picked up the German version and think the PQ is outstanding. If you enjoy the movie, don't hesitate!

I made a request to xploited to get those Dutch releases in possibly (provided they have an English soundtrack). Also, I have the Polish Underworld: Evolution disc in my hands. I just don't know a good way to get screenshots with the equipment I have. I have a camera phone, laptop, XA2, Sony 55A2020. If I had a HDMI-DVI cable that might do it, I should have a way to decode HDCP in Vista. Any other suggestions would be great.

for mid-nov so hopefully that will be the same. i'm sure they will include
english tracks, but probably won't know for sure until the release nears.

In the Netherlands movies are released in the original language with Dutch subtitles, either on DVD or in the theater. So, there will always be an English track for American, British, Australian, etc. movies.

There's a 3rd title as well and there are placeholders in Amazon Japan for them (not yet available for pre-order). I guess they might become available for pre-order on 9/28, at least Band of Brothers appeared exactly 2 months prior to release date.

These are not yet listed in Shochiku Home Video's home page - not yet clear if there will be English subtitles or not.
