Looks amazing here on Cablevision in NY/NJ area...

This has been talked about in previous threads when it aired before. One of the best in TNT's library in terms of PQ and 5.1

Looked like pure junk over DirecTV. Much like the rest of the stuff on TNT over DirecTV, yes, but still noticably unappealing.

I agree that the PQ was great, though I only watched 10 minutes or so. There's no way I could watch a full movie on that channel. Not sure I could watch Titanic the whole way through anyway.

On a related note, has anyone tried those X-13D doritos? Taste like hamburger!

As an overseas reader, what is the resolution of this station?

The last time I saw this it was on a 576p channel so I can't wait to see how it looks at 1080i next time around.

Any chance of a capture to see this? Watermarks always interest me (and drive me insane at times).

TNT HD is 1080i.

Looked/sounded awesome via Comcast here (Fresno, CA market).

But, yeah.....can we do away with the TNT promo crawls? Left corner ID bug I can handle. But do we really need to see Treat Willimas or Kyra Sedgwick pop up in the right corner of the screen every 15 minutes to remind us of their upcoming TNT shows? That's what the freakin' commercial breaks are for, TNT!!!

Then again, I'd really only watch a TNT movie as a casual (ie. not REALLY watching it) experience anyway.

Unless of course it's in TNT's patented "Stretch-o-Vision"!!

I can't watch any HD movies on TNT anymore. Their copy of LOTR trilogy looks pretty nice too. Just the plain bug in the corner, "TNT.tv" ok fine. But the constant crawlers, tons of commercials and cuts to fit in more commercials, forget it. They are worse than network TV.

Agreed... I only watched a small part of Titanic while waiting for something else to start. At one point, a crawler came on and hid half of the note Rose was reading.
