Marantz CC4001 vs my HK 635's DAC

I've got a sony dvd changer hooked up via optical out to my HK 635. Would there be any meaningful difference if I got that Marantz and hooked it up via the analog outs? I guess basically is the HK Cirrus Logic DAC better/worse than the one in the Marantz?

I don't have much of a budget, but I can't stand the controls on my sony dvd changer and want to replace it, so I figure if I can spend a bit more and improve the sound any, I might as well.

thanks

the marantz is a great player, I own one myself and the soundstage is very good on it. I can hear seperates in composition versus my old sony cdp. I upgraded the power cord, and am using signal cable ICs. I guess you could buy one, demo it using the analogs, and change the connection on the HK by using the analog ICs as well. The marantz is a solid player and very heavy, a quality cdp for sure.

What did the upgraded power cord do for you?
