Can anyone post if they find out if OZ gets the C3 in stock? Oz is hard to get a hold of and their webpage doesn't list in stock or not in stock for items.

Jon,

Its seems like everyone and their brother is waiting for a C3, Your might sell out of them really quick!
Yes, that. What you linked is what their web page has looked like for ages despite it being out of stock. That's my point. You could have gone there six months ago and put it in your cart and paid thinking it was in stock but it's not. I would like people to know when it's really in stock before paying.

Jon,
can you guys list some Swans Diva 6.1 on ebay so that we can take advantage of the live.com cashback.
Considering my system. Outlaw rr2150 stereo receiver, marantz 5003 cd, and swan diva6.1s. Which would I hear more benifits from. Adding a good sub (svs, hsu, etc.) or a good 2 channel amp such as emotiva xpa-5?
Any thoughts would be apreciated.
I meant emotiva xpa-2

Hi All,

Sorry for the time it's taken me to get back here to AVS. As many of you know, retail at OZ Home Theater is not our core business - and the site obviously reflects this (as several of you have pointed out). Admittedly, our inventory management has been relatively poor over the past several months. From a quick glance, it's apparent that our site is terribly outdated - and many of the products listed have actually been discontinued. That said, our goals at OZ have not changed - and the customer remains our absolute highest priority. We do make mistakes from time to time - though I truly believe that it's the way we handle these mistakes that makes us unique.

That said, I'm very proud to announce that OZ HT has just hired a general manager that will take over the day to day functions of our retail site (that the rest of us have been struggling to manage for the past several months). Kraig Corbin has accepted this position and will be starting with OZ a week from Monday. Kraig will handle many of your questions on products, inventory, etc. and may even pop up on AVS every once in a while to answer a few questions. He'll be available on a day to day basis where the rest of us or not - so your emails, tracking number requests, package offers, etc. will be handled with utmost urgency. In addition, Kraig has put together a variety of exciting new ideas for our business that will be going into effect over the next several weeks - including a once weekly "woot-type" special on everything from cables to receivers. Obviously there is a lot going on - and it's going to take a few days to get everything in order. My goal is to have our site completely updated by Kraig's first day - along with several new products that we've been promising for some time (can you say Diva X.2 and Swans Multimedia).

In the meantime - I've just been informed that C3's are on U.S. soil and en-route to our warehouse. I have several backorders that will be processing immediately. Remaining stock will be handled on a first come first served inventory. At this time we are accepting web-orders only - and both Rosewood and BC are available in limited quantities. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to post or email. I'll be back up here a bit over the next two weeks to advise everyone of some key strategic changes with OZ HT and the Diva by Swans line in the U.S. as well as a few new product offerings.

Thanks for your continued support!

Steve Ozmai

Hey Nolsendack,

What is your primary use of your system? The 6.1's play down to around 27-30 Hz in-room - which is usually more than sufficient for most full-range music formats. That said - adding a sub into the mix would give you more usable output in the 20-40 Hz range. The amplifiers used in your 2150 are solid...I'm not sure you'd hear a significant difference between these and an external 2-channel amp. On the other hand - adding a sub to the system (if using active bass management) would help decrease the demand on the amps in your 2150 and could improve the overall performance in the lower through upper midrange. So - with the sub - you might get improved midrange performance AND much better 20-40 Hz performance...while (in my opinion) an amp would give a negligible improvement.

my vote is for both the sub and amp lol.

When i had my 5.1's adding an Emotiva LPA-1 greatly improved things. Of course i was using a cheap reciever but still. From their i have moved on and purchased a RPA-1 and the 5.1's had a more robust cleaner sound. Before i sold my 5.1's i put an XPA-3 on them and the bass definately improved.

Also at the time i purchased my 5.1's i did not have a sub. When i finally purchased this i was finally able to get usable frequency below 50hz lol and it obviously made things sound much better for movies. Now of course the 6.1's have more bass output than the 5.1's but the point is if your into HT you need a sub. If your more into music get an amp. If your a perfect balance of both, get both an amp and sub and your life will be complete

With respect to the eBay sales - normally we reserve the eBay "outlet" solely for open box or discontinued items. All new product is sold through our site. That said - I've had a few requests on this over the past few days so I've added the 6.1 in Rosewood and Black Cherry to our store - both brand new (factory sealed, etc.).

The total price (including shipping) on each works out to about $35.00 more than the price on our site - though hopefully this is offset by the rebate you have mentioned. Unfortunately, the eBay fees on this product are quite high due to the price point and the fact that it's a "store inventory" product. Factor in the small loss we're taking on shipping (shipping on the nearly 200 lbs. is considerably more than $99), and the PayPal fee, and our margins all but dissappear (there isn't much to begin with).

These items will remain on eBay until Monday the 20th. Due to the current state of affairs with FedEx and UPS fuel surcharge increases, tranportation costs rising out of our factory overseas, etc. we will also be raising our prices on our site at this time (prices will stay the same but shipping will no longer be free on some items). If you've been looking at the 6.1's...now is definitely the time!

The microsoft refund is 30%, up to $200, so you can add any expense it costs you to sell through ebay, and the customer would still save money and you would sell more product. Just raise the buy it now price to whatever additional money it costs you to do it this way. We'll still save money and you'll make the same amount.

Done! Thanks Steve. The eBay fee is about $36 on a pair of 6.1's - so I've added the $35 to the Buy it Now price and I'll be covering the rest. The price on a pair of 6.1's through the eBay store (shipped) is thus $1034 for Rosewood and $884 for Black Cherry.

Can you please do the buy it now on ebay thing with some c3s? I need one in BC finish. I already have two pairs of 6.1s so I don't need anymore of those

you where already selling the 6.1's black cherry for $849 on ebay, there seriously was no reason to add $35 to it. you read a message from a guy who wants to buy a c3 NOT a 6.1 and you decided to increase the price on the 6.1 I am going to take my money somewhere else, thanks.

Thanks for the post - just received your email as well. Your first email called our business "seriously unethical" because we were charging shipping on our open box products sold through eBay. The second email accuses us of "always taking advantage of our customers" due to the price increase that I clearly stated above as a condition of posting BRAND NEW inventory on eBay (something we have NEVER done before but have agreed to do for a few days at your request).

One would think that there would be at least some process of fact checking before making these types of claims. If you would like information on WHY we increased the price by $35.00 on the brand new BC and Rosewood 6.1's, please refer to my earlier posts in this thread.

6.1's in Black Cherry have not been on eBay for over 8 months. The pair that has been listed was actually an open box pair of Rosewood 6.1's that we were offering at $890 (not $849) and did not qualify for free shipping. As I explained in my response to your first email (which I have received no reply to) - we do not offer free shipping on open box products. This is, has, and always will be company policy. The promotion currently posted on our site means that brand new 6.1's are available to our customers at a very slight increase over the open box price. You are the first individual that has ever had any complaint with this - let alone made claims about our business ethics. That said - our prices will be going up shortly across the board on all Divas. In a couple short weeks, you'll have your way - as the open box 6.1's will be significantly less expensive than new models (as open box products will not change in price).

Hi Steve,

Sure - I'll give this a shot this evening. I'll have to program a new page for the C3 - so it might not be quite as pretty if time is a factor. How long does this rebate run?

Steve: I've been wanting to get a pair of Black Cherry R3's for several months. If you get a chance to put a pair on Ebay, I'm in (as long as Live 30% is still active). Those would be for side surrounds and would complete my setup of 5.1 mains, C3 center, and R2 rears. Thanks!
I do not know how long the rebate lasts so the sooner the better. The page doesn't need to be pretty Thanks a million! I'll be watching ebay tonight for a C3 in BC.

Does anyone know i the 30% rebate includes the money spent on shipping or not? I bet it doesn't. It would help the buyer if Oz listed the item at a higher price and listed shipping as free.

It doesn't give the cash back on shipping. So, yeah, by including shipping in the price, buyers would essentially get 30% off shipping as well.
If I buy a C3 on Oz's web page in BC finish I pay $329 shipped as shipping is free. I don't know how much it would be on ebay after the refund since it will be listed at a higher price to pay for the ebay fees and it will probably be listed as x amount plus shipping and the refund will only be on the speaker's price, not the shipping. We'll see tonight after Steve puts some stuff on ebay. If the end turns out to be under $329 when I get the refund I'll be happy. Hopefully he'll list a buy it now SHIPPED price.
For it to work, the seller has to sell the item as Buy It Now and offer Paypal as a payment method. To add a cherry on top, they include shipping in the Buy It Now price and set it up as "free shipping".

I listed some stuff for sale on Ebay this week and that's how I did it. My listings are "free shipping", but of course I upped the Buy It Now by the amount I would have originally charged for shipping.
