I live in Las Vegas and even though our lows don't go as far down as yours in the winters we have summer highs that always reach over 110 F. We were still at 100 F just this weekend. What the internal high temp in a car must reach here would certainly place great demands on a driver. Anyone who has lived thru a few summers here quickly learns what demands the heat places on cars. Things such as batteries, tires, belts, gaskets, seals, wiper blades (even though they rarely get used) have very short life spans out here compared to milder climates. I'm sure the same is true for car speakers.
Cars take a lot of damage during the winters here too, batteries die due to people trying to crank their cars in the cold weather, the whole interior makes strange sounds due to being so cold and so on. So I guess both extreme heat and extreme cold is bad.
Worst of all is the road salt used on the roads to melt the ice which make the cars rust (they get a lot of extra protection coating underneath when they are imported though). I really hate the winter, one day I will leave it behind.
Anyway, it starts getting OT here. I question for all:
has anyone seen the Swans F1.1A (not F but the new A that I have) in a store somewhere but in Sweden (MYC Hifi)? Online or not. I'm just curious, because I haven't seen them in a store and I haven't read a single review. I surely can't be the only one in the western part of the world that own a pair?
