List of the PlayStation 3's exclusive console games (continually updated) - Page 2

Time Crisis 4 w/GunCon added to the list.

Lots of great suggestions here. I'll revise the format to show titles released in the United States. I'll also link to ign's page for the release dates of future titles. I haven't heard anything on Resistance 2, except that I doubt that it'll feature a church in England .

EDIT: More new Namco games announced and added. L.A. Noire removed.

I second the request for stickying this thread and I also think it would be good to have some tentative release dates. This thread could develop into something that people could check on a weekly basis and end the need for starting new threads that deal with release dates, delays, what's coming, what's out, whats exclusive, etc.

Bacterius is made by Zoe Mode. Nucleus is being made by Kuju Entertainment. I fixed the rest.

Added to the rumor section a game called Biolith Rebellion by Sony. I know it's real but I'm not 100% positive yet if it is for the PS3 or perhaps the PSP (I think it'll be a PS3 game).

I've also redistributed all games that start with the word "The". The are now alphabetized according to the second word, and I've moved ",The" to the end of the title. This matches the format that most gaming sites have when they list games.

I've separated out the non-U.S. games so that people can zero in on the titles released in America and those they can import (Euro and Japan exclusive games work perfectly on U.S. PS3s).

Added a game called 'Nine to Five' to the rumor section:

Quote:

Don't let the nine-to-five eat you alive: Fight back in this interactive sitcom in which you are the star. Kiss the boss's butt to avoid the chopping block. Pretend to laugh at the mailroom flunky's bad jokes. Make a move on a dreamy colleague. Every workday is a new adventure. With a nod to Dilbert and The Office, Nine-to-Five delivers top-shelf humor, outrageous storylines, and hilarious gameplay.
Features
-1. 4 over-the-top episodes introduce you to MegaCorp, a misanthropic multinational corporation
-1. Each episode is approximately 3 hours with sitcom storylines and cliffhangers
-1. Cast of 25 unique and memorable characters
-1. Multiple tactics to get ahead: Chat, cajole, flirt, coerce, and lie
-1. Action packed mini-games like full contact races
-1. Goal-oriented gameplay
-1. Fully customizable player character
-1. Dialogue written and performed by veterans of Comedy Central, Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show, Chappelle's Show, Conan O'Brien, etc.
-1. HD and surround sound
Each episode is purchased separately online via the PLAYSTATION Store

- Mist of Chaos: (Japan)
- Wagan Midnight (Japan)

Correction on My Summer Holiday (Japan). I believe it is supposed to be My Summer Vacation 3 (1 and 2 were on the PS2, I think).

Bacterius = Nucleus are the very same game and Zoe Mode = Kuju Brighton Studio was a namechange.

PERFECT. Thanks x 10000.

I got F1 with my system on Friday, ordered Resistance online over the weekend, and bought Motorstorm today. My 360 is going to be jealous this week.

Yes. Insomniac has stated that Resistance 2 will come in 08! They have 2 separate teams working on games. So they can put out one every year. This year we get R&C.

Sorry I haven't provided links yet... my computer is getting serviced and I want to get it back before I do it. As for Resistance 2, when I see an article about it somewhere I'll add it.

- Removed Haze from the list because of its ridiculously stupid one week of exclusivity. Why did Ubisoft announce it as an exclusive to begin with?

- Added UT3 as a timed exclusive, unless I find out that it will be so for less than six months.

I put Haze back up since Ubisoft so far is stating it as a timed exclusive. I added three new rumored exclusives: 'Chills' and two EyeToy PSN downloads.

Added an unnamed game from CyberConnect2 and Record of Agarest War Strikes from Japan.

For the rumor section, EGM is reporting that Metal Gear game director Hideo Kojima is working on another PS3 exclusive game, but no name was given.

The Official PlayStation mag of the UK is reporting that TimeSplitters is coming to the PS3. I'll put it in rumors for now.
Did I miss Calling All Cars in the list?

Is it possible to add expected release dates or is that info that you don't have?

Thanks, it's a great list!

How could I forget CaC... that game is a ton of fun (fixed).

I put a link to ign's listing so you can track the release dates there. It'd be a full time job following the constant release changes if I did it myself.

what is the name of that one game with the alternate wwII future?

Alternate past. Resistance takes place in the 1950s.
I forgot Mainichi Issho (or Issyo...not sure which it is).

It's a Japan PSN store exclusive. It's been out since launch.

EDIT: looked at the game title, and it's Mainichi Issho (IGN has it incorrectly translated as Issyo).

It seems that Sony is working with Quantic Dream on a PS3 exclusive besides Heavy Rain.

The developer of The Indigo Prophecy and Omikron: The Nomad Soul teams up with Sony to work on next-gen title.
By Emma Boyes, GameSpot UK

French developer Quantic Dream is working on a top-secret PlayStation 3-exclusive title, the company has revealed. Other than that, the company and collaborator Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios aren't saying much.

To date, the 10-year-old developer has released two games. The Nomad Soul (Omikron in the US) was the company's first title, published by Eidos Interactive and set in the futuristic city of Omikron. The ambitious game put players in control of a protagonist who could switch bodies at will to gain access to certain areas and avoid capture. David Bowie had a virtual character in the game, and music from his album Hours was featured in the soundtrack. It starts with a detective investigating a serial killer, but he quickly realises that something even more sinister is at work.

In 2005, Fahrenheit (The Indigo Prophecy in the US) became Quantic Dream's second release. The adventure game starred a brilliant young police detective investigating a series of brutal murders with her partner. Meanwhile, a third character investigates his growing suspicion that he is in fact the murderer.

The developer's founder, president, and CEO, David Cage, commented on the new title, "We always believed that 'next generation' meant more meaningful content based on players' emotional involvement. To us, PS3 is the only platform that can truly deliver on this promise."

Previously, the company had been confirmed as developing Omikron 2 for next-gen consoles. It also has been working on another next-gen title, which was shown at Sony's Electronic Entertainment Expo booth last year under the name Heavy Rain.

Also, EGM magazine and the most recent 1up podcast have stated that Epic is working on a PS3 exclusive title. The Quantic Dream game is going on the main list while the Epic game will go to the rumor list.

No, it's a game where the allies lose WW2 and the Germans take over the US, looked interesting. I can take some more WW2 games but I seem to be falling for alternate realities nowadays

Hopefully we get some more new announcements today at Sony's E3 presentation. For now I'll add this new title originally on the PC to the PSN list called Everyday Shooter. Sony's snatched it up and is giving it the 1080P/60fps treatment.

Also, some feel that Haze will be announced today as a 100% PS3 exclusive. Previously it was a timed exclusive. I updated the first post to reflect this speculation.
