Thanks fellas!

New rumor... Demon Souls 2 is in development and may be released (in Japan) sometime this year.
Quote:

Dengeki is either playing games with our hearts or a big announcement concerning Demon's Souls is possibly coming our way very soon. In the latest Dengeki Games podcast, they hint at a big announcement of an unannounced sequel to a title that was released last year and it'll release this fall. The title is described as very hard and interesting -- exactly what Demon's Souls was.

Demon's Souls was one of the hardest games released last year and it even managed to win 'Game of the Year' by several outlets despite the high-level of difficulty. There is no mention of the developer or anything else about the game in the podcast, but with the slight game description, it does sound like Demon's Souls.

For now, this is still a rumor until an official announcement is made. If you managed to miss this amazing title last year, you should pick it up. Below, we have some screens for you to gaze at of the first title. Maybe they'll help convince you to buy the game or, for those of us who played it, will bring back sweet memories of the amazing adventure the game offered.

The announcement was regarding the Europe version of Qore being offered soon called "FirstPlay". It'll come out weekly with PS3 info instead of monthly.

Here's a new exclusive coming to the PSN... Blade Kitten:

Quote:

Two words that should be mutually exclusive - "blade" and "kitten" - come together on the PlayStation Network this spring.

Krome Studios has announced that Blade Kitten, based on the comic book series by creator Steve Stamatiadis, will come to life in video game form. Bounty hunter Kit Ballard takes the lead in this colorful action/adventure game, where you traverse the world of Hollow Wish, executing your own unique brand of cat-like justice. Kit is part cat, part girl and holds the "Darque Blade," which is a hovering sword she uses to slash through her foes (is anyone else suddenly reminded of the Sword Familiar in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night?). Skiffy, the sidekick, will assist as well, and the gameplay involves fast-paced combat, plus a bit of item collecting and puzzle solving. Stamatiadis is also the co-founder and creative director of Krome Studios, and he said:

"Blade Kitten is a brain child of mine that originated as a comic series. Bringing Kit’s anime-inspired universe to life is a milestone for us, and we’re excited to open her world up to gamers on the PlayStation Network."

Krome explains the game as a step beyond most downloadable titles, because it will offer a "strong narrative, high-quality cinematics, and a colorful, frenetic visual style." The game features 19 levels, plus three "exploration levels" with Noot, your ride-able alien mount. The entire game will be a two-part miniseries and if you want a sneak peek, tune into GameTrailers TV tonight at 12:30 a.m. ET/PT on Spike TV for an exclusive trailer and gameplay footage.

Sony has recently trademarked the name "Motorstorm 3". I'll add it to the rumor section for now. However, PixelJunk Racers: 2nd Lap is being added to the list after this confirmation.

Another juicy rumor... of course Killzone 3 being in development isn't a huge surprise, but rumors say it is due this year AND will sport 3D visuals and make use of the motion controls:
Quote:

Sources close to Sony have mooted Killzone 3 for a Christmas release.

Also, following on from this year's firmware updates and the release of Sony's new motion controller, Killzone 3 will support both 3D and motion controls.

Killzone 3 will apparently join the list of high profile titles such as Heavy Rain and LittleBigPlanet to boast motion controller support.

We have asked Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for an official response but have yet to receive a reply.

Sony is rumored to have new, multi-function portable gadgets in the works that we'll likely see revealed this year:

Quote:

Is Sony ready to rumble with Apple? The Wall Street Journal thinks so. Citing "people familiar with the matter," the Journal says Sony Corp. has plans to release a smart phone capable of playing PlayStation games, that it's already in development, and that we'll see it later this year.

That's not all, or even the half of it when you consider this next bit. Apparently Sony has plans to release a device that "blurs distinctions among a netbook, an e-reader and a PlayStation Portable, or PSP." Hmm, take that Apple iPad?

Both the phone and the mystery whatchamacallit are supposed to work with Sony's upcoming iTunes alternative, a new online media platform due to launch later this month.

The Journal describes both devices as part of a broader handheld lineup designed to "to rival Apple."

Curiouser and curiouser.

It might be the Motorstorm sequel trademarked earlier, or maybe the "massive" clue indicates M.A.G.II.

BTW, Santa Monica Studios (GoWIII developer) says they have a short term project and a long term project in the works.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is confirmed, and it'll have Move support:

Quote:

Sony has confirmed the existence of LittleBigPlanet 2 and said the game will support the new PlayStation Move controller.

Sony Benelux's Folkert Langeveld spilled the beans to Tweakers.net (translated by Eurogamer Benelux), apparently unaware the game hadn't been officially revealed.

Nothing else was said about LittleBigPlanet 2 - a game the world had been expecting after Sony acquired developer Media Molecule earlier this month.

Here's an interesting new rumor... Sony has the rights to develop Michael Jackson stuff, including video games:
Quote:

The King Of Pop may be coming to PS3 - after Sony snapped up the rights to a Michael Jackson video game.

Video game rights were included in Sony's $200m purchase of MJ's estate last week.

According to reports, the deal gives Sony free reign to use Michael Jackson's released and unreleased material. The Independent reports it includes the right to release ten new Michael Jackson albums, video games and DVDs between now and 2017.

Of course, the most likely release is an MJ Singstar - but PS3 Move could well come into the equation.

Following the deal, Rob Stringer, chairman of the Columbia Epic division of Sony said: "There may be theatre. There may be films and movies. There may be computer games."

Jacko's no stranger to video games - with his own Moonwalker becoming a particular cult hit.

There is a two week PSN sale of the Creat Studios' games:

Quote:

$4.99 Games (regularly $9.99)
Cuboid
Digger HD
Interpol
Magic Orbz
Mahjong Tales
Mushroom Wars

$7.49 Games (regularly $14.99)
Smash Cars

Quickie review of two titles I have....

- Mahjong Tales is good fun for me and my 7-year old daughter. Different Mahjong tables are to be solved in between chapters of several stories audibly told. The controls and graphics are decent.

- Interpol is a waste of time and money. It's a hunt for the object game, but it looks terrible on a 1080P screen because of the low resolution. It's the first PSN game where I wish I could get my money back.

Looks interesting. Not really an exclusive as it's released for PCs/macs. wiki says that xbox refused because they don't allow titles without a publisher. So I suppose that it's an exclusive on consoles as it will be available on PS store.
Already demos on the developer's blog. http://machinarium.net/blog/2009/10/...hinarium-demo/

I said in the first post I list console exclusives in this thread. Sorry if that confused you.

BTW everyone, in the first post I added tags for games that feature -Move- and -3D- so you can more easily find specific titles you may be looking for.

This sounds intriguing:

Quote:

In the most recent Official PlayStation Magazine UK podcast, Editor-In-Chief Ben Wilson has revealed that a new user-generated PlayStation 3 game is on the way for later this year.

“There is another game that we can’t talk about – I’d love to – that we know where it’s an open-world game that’s coming out this year,” Wilson teased in the podcast while talking about Grand Theft Auto’s future direction.

“Everyone’s looking at me confused – this is genuinely true, I’m not making this up,” he affirmed his colleagues on the podcast.

“Basically it’s an open-world game where people will be able to design their own missions online and share them.”
He says all this around the thirty minute mark. Check out the podcast for yourself here.

As for what it can be, color me clueless – if that’s a color, that is.

An open world Play/Create/Share game? That could be pretty fun if it allows a lot of creativity to keep it all from looking the same. He's the editor of the official magazine, so I'll add it to the list.

I heard that podcast, too. If you listen closely in the background, one of the other editors in the background has an "ahhh," moment where it seems he's remembering/realizing what game the podcaster is talking about.

They are careful not to mention anything else, but it could be a fun idea if it is true and they run with it.

Next game to add to the list is a cyber-punk title in 3D called 'Replika':

Quote:

Biodroid Productions has announced the development of a new PlayStation Network action/strategy cyberpunk adventure game titled Replika today.

Replika casts a female in the leading role and uses native stereoscopic 3D support to provide the player a truly immersive gameplay experience.

No other details have been shared. The game's official website has launched, which contains a developer diary where they'll update gamers regularly with new information.

That's now at least 200 console exclusive titles released or in development. It's pretty impressive when you think about it.

It is until it is announced otherwise. Even if it is ultimately a timed exclusive, I keep it up and say so (i.e. Virtua Fighter 5). I later remove timed exclusives when it is no longer correct.

For now, all we know is that Joe Danger is only coming to the PS3 on console.
