I just installed a Sony MEX-DV2000 SACD/radio and it is superb!

What car did you install in? How did you handle the apparent lack of bass management?

I installed it in my 01 PT Cruiser. The OEM speakers sound superb with this new unit; great bass. The unit sports bass management, but that is mostly applicable if you are using the 5.1 analog outputs. I use the built in 4 channel amps. When set for high resolution SACD output you loose the bass management and the digital timing alignment functions. But remenber, I only paid $200 for a high powered unit that will play multi-channel SACD audio, and video DVD's and the multi-channel DTS and Dolby Digital audio encoded on DVD-Audio disks. If you want bass management at all times perhaps that hugely expensive unit Bose is offering is more your ticket.

Are you aware of any HUs that can play both SACD and DVDA discs? I have no need for DVD-video though.
