Our 6010 was calibrated by UMR (Jeff Meier) in Standard at 60Hrz.

I seem to be having the guide issue now too on my 5080. Just started happening about two weeks ago but it won't correct itself. I've tried running setup, rescanning, all that stuff. Guess that's the end of the guide for us. Too bad, it was a great feature for us antenna users. Unless I'm missing something, they aren't broadcasting it anymore or something. Worked fin for many years and jus recently went bye bye. I'm bummed. frown.gif

I have a 50" Pioneer Elite PRO-110FD that seems to have suddenly lost a lot of functionality. Came home to find the Pure AV UPS off, but nothing else in the house indicating a power outage, so it appears something connected may have had a surge. Of the connected cable box, Tivo, Mac, PS3, and the Kuro, only the Kuro seems to have anything wrong.

Turning it on from the bottom left switch or via the remote/Standby buttons results in a black screen, with no noticeable response to changing inputs either from the remote or the side switch. Tried unplugging all inputs and power overnight, with slight improvement. After removing the power on the first turn on it will respond to the side input switch, and I can get a picture from one antenna input, and two HDMI inputs (a Pioneer Receiver and a Mac Mini). Tried a cable box and Tivo on component and composite inputs with no luck. The input selection buttons on the remote still do not function, nor is there any onscreen display (no input number or resolution, no volume or channel, menu etc.). The only two buttons on the remote that result in any kind of onscreen change are the Home Media Gallery and the TV Guide.

Once working, if I turn it off and on it is back to just the black screen. I have to remove the power, and then on the first power on the side input switch will work and the antenna and HDMI sources will again display a picture.

From all of the various attempts of power off/on I once got a shutdown with a sequence of 9 blinks from the blue LED after using the side input button , but that stopped on the next restart. From searches that seems to be a communication error, but it has not reoccurred.

Any ideas?

I have a 5080 and have been thinking about getting a new tv, I would like a 60" model. I was looking at the Panasonic st60, do you think this tv would have a better picture than the 5080 ? It's hard for me to judge it by looking at it in the store. Do today plasma have better black levels than the 5080 ?
