Everybody proceed to Gametrailers and download the remastered trailer for MGS4 NOW!!! It's the same trailer but it's simply freakin amazing! And if this game is following in the footsteps of previous games and rendering its cutscenes with the in-game engine then any doubts about the power of the PS3 can be put to bed because WOW! Seriously I thought it looked good before but after watching this new remastered trailer this is looking to put Killzone 2's graphics to shame.

Edit: Linkage

To hell with MGS4 the game.. just make the movie!!!!

I'm not going to lie just that storyline alone was the bomb. I didnt see anything that looked like gameplay.. but if their cutscenes are that creative.. then I'd just rather sit back with the popcorn and watch a good 2 hour story line.

Killzone 2 has been shown to the public? I hope you are not referring to the CGI video.

A lot of the trailer is real-time. Go to gametrailers.com and check the user submitted section. They have a video of Kojima demo'ing the trailer and he maneuvers the camera around and pans around Snake. It's pretty cool and makes me excited about the possibilities of the PS3.

I was actually, that was kind of my point that even if Killzone 2 looks as good as the CGI trailer MGS4 is still gonna put it to shame.

I do hope they do something about the gameplay though, MGS and MGS2 were great but MGS3 started getting old. Even though Subsistence fixed the camera I'd like to see controls that aren't quite so wonky and maybe the ability to aim and move at the same time ya know things that became possible last-gen that Kojima didn't see fit to include.

does the website have the most up to date information on the release date? It says 7/1/07 which by my watch is a little earlier than I was expecting it. If it's true

I noticed a lot of people get put off by the long cut scenes and lengthy dialogues.

I almost had the same reaction when I played MSG3. During the first 4 hours, I thought "Hell, you barely do anything in that game!". But, after 26 hours or so, there is so much cool gameplay and characters packed into the game, that I had a complete reversal of opinion. I now consider MSG3 to be one of the best game I played this past 2 years.

I wonder how many wrote the game off within the first 4 hours.

No, I wouldn't expect it before March 2008. They just remastered the trailer from 2006 so the part where it gives the release date at the end was left unchanged even though it's false.

It says 2008 at the end, and then they cross it out and put 2007

If they knew the game wasn't really coming in 07, then I am kinda suprised that they didn't change it when they remastered the video. It wouldn't have been that hard to do. And they had to know that it would create some controversy on the actual release date by not updating it. Hopefully, they will confirm something at E3. Even with so many exclusives coming this fall I still think they need this game and a price drop to start to really move systems.
