I'm putting together a Home theater system.
Right now I'm leaning towards the following:
Speakers: NHT Classic three for my FR & LR, the matching center, and a pair NHT absolute zero's for my rears.
Verizion FIOS, DIrect TV, or Comcast
Oppo DVD player & 50 inch 1080p plasma - 700 series Panny
Receiver: ?
I've been looking at the new Denon 3808ci, Onkyo TX-SR875, Pioneer VSX-94TXH, emotiva LPA1 & LMC1 combo, & Marantz SR7001
I want something that has all the bells & whistles so I do not have to upgrade soon. If I went the emotiva route I would upgrade when new models come out. I want to do everything over HDMI to reduce cables, and I would like something that has a good enough video upconverter to make my cable look better (not sold on this yet...).
I want to purchase in approx 2 months when home addition is complete
Any thoughts on which may be the better route?
