Upgrade from 55Txi to 82TXs to get HDMI???

I love my VSX-55TXi Elite reciever. But I've recently converted all video components to ones that have hdmi. Not only that, I have a remove AQUOS 46" D62 in a rec room that is fed by HDMI through the walls and into the attic. I just bought a 58" Panasonic 700u 1080p plasma and it replaces the last of my displays that don't have HDMI inputs.

For seemlessness, I really need an HDMI switching reciever. Is the 82TXs up to the task?

After the firmware upgrades earlier this year, are there any HDMI issues to be concnered with?

I guess the answer is no as there aren't enough people with this unit to give input.

Short answer from an owner of an 82TXs with the upgrades using a PS3, HD-DirecTivo, Toshiba HDA2 and Sony KDS60A2000 tv, no. YMMV as it appears that you're going to be feeding HDMI to more than one set and the 82 only has one HDMI output.

I guess I should have specified I'd be using an HDMI distribution amplifier. Monoprice has one for $95 that people seem to like a lot.
