Dual DVB-S card for Linux

Thread Starter
Hi there guys! I'm trying to build an htpc as a present for my parents and so far I've been unable to find any dual DVB-S pci card working on Linux (dual as in two tuners in one card like the Pinnacle PCTV Dual SAT Pro as I only have 1 pci and 1 pci-e free slots and I want it to be able to record and watch 2 different programs at the same time, and usb cards are out of the question too )

I've checked linuxtv and I can't find anything there does that mean that it's totally impossible to run a dual satellite card on Linux?

There are Linux drivers for dual DVB-T cards so why can't I find any for DVB-S?

Did anybody ever manage to use any dual satellite card in Linux? ¿?

Pleeeeeease! Somebody help meee!! This is driving me crazy!

Thanks!!

I recommend googleing "al7bar" they could probably help you or have the answer already (as I recall they have a linux section), this site (AVSforum) is not particularly active with DVB-S or linux (I am not bashing this is probably my favorite forum/site) , but all general satelite talk is refered to DBStalk.com and I can keep up with reading the linux section only checking in ocassionally. If al7bar does not have the answer I would recommend focusing on canadian or australian websites (they seem to be way ahead of US in this subject)
