So in my online browsing I came across a refurbished Sharp LC46D62U... I have never considered purchasing a refurbished unit now that I've seen it I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about it.
I guess my question is... Refurbished... obviously it was returned for a reason. In my mind, the most likely reason would be banding, and with Sharp quality control issues with the 62Us I'd wonder if a certain amount of banding was "acceptable" when checking over the unit for defects.
Now, I know in certain cases a refurbished unit can be an even better bet than a new one... In the case of many Dell monitors, for instance, you can basically be assured that you're getting a monitor that works. Has anyone had any experience with refurbished 62Us? Or refurbished units of any kind, for that matter?
I'm very curious, and any information would be greatly appreciated.
