I know you all mean well
Currently I play on a native 480p TV set (a Samsung, HD ready, widescreen CRT - I don't remember the model # now). I also have a Pio PDP-4360HD set which is native at 720p. I used to have my 360 hooked up to that set and having the output from the 360 at 720p totally made playing H2 impossible. With the 360 connected to the 480p TV I don't have that lag that was reported due to frame rate issues (as now also the 360 output is 480p, and H2 native is 480p). It is still possible that the tv lags and I wonder if changing the cables, or changing to a different input # would help.
I confess I am addicted to Halo, I have been playing for 2-3 years. In my better days (when lag was less of an issue , but still there), I was >30 on Team Slayer and 28 in double team. I thought that was pretty good. Currently, however, I am down to 18 TS and 15 DT. I really don't care too much about the rating itself but the lag is giving me -literally- headaches as my brain is expecting an immediate visual response (on the tv screen) to my controller inputs, and it just does it in a delayed fashion. I also would not know how to record a video of this. It is really a lag between my controller usage and the visual presentation of these actions. I haven't played Halo campaign in ages but will do so later to see if I get lag in that play as well. I would imagine, if all ok, that would rule out the tv as a source of lag...
