I hate to break it to Hanes but that picture he posted with the "So let it be written..." quote was from the musical "The King and I". This pic:


is from "The Ten Commandments" where Yul Brynner said the famous "So let it be written......" line.

Ah well it is getting to be that time of year again where we all start thinking of that one "Big Game" party and just how many people we can fit in our theaters and still move/see.......Now here is the dilemma.

Colts fan? Why YES for sure! Colts in the hunt for the "Big Game" NO! Find a secondary team to cheer........

Second favorite team NY Giants. Giants in the hunt for the "Big Game" NO! Not even a post season for those guys! Find a third tier team to throw your support behind. Easy I'll pick the Bronco's.....at least they have a Manning at the helm. Nope, fumble interception and a OT sudden death field goal kick by the Ravens to end it all for the other "GO Horse" team.......Find a forth tier team to get behind.

Texans.............NOPE!

Ravens............NOPE! I don't like them anymore than the Patriots. In fact if they were playing the Pats, I guess I would have to cheer for them just because they were playing THAT team, but I would not like it one bit.

Pats.................NOPE! See directly above.

49er's.............NOPE!

Falcons..........Uh....NOPE! Falcons? Who are they anyway and when did they become a factor? Atlanta has a professional football team? Like when did that happen?

Seahawks......Hmmmmm..........Don't dislike them........seem to have a good program this year. Solid play, Only been to the "Big Game" once and lost.........Yup, I guess I found a new team to cheer.

GO SEAHAWKS!

I feel your pain, only my trouble is because college football is over (that's a whole different thread, though smile.gif ). Personally, I'm pulling for the Falcons. Not because their nearby, or anything like that. Nope, I'm pulling for Tony Gonzalez. I'd love for that guy to get a Super Bowl ring before he retires. When we lived in Kansas they interviewed him on the radio regularly, and he really seemed like a jam up guy. Obviously I don't know him personally, and I'm sure if I Googled it there'd be all sorts of nasty stuff, so I'm just not going to Google it.

Ok, well here we go. Disaster averted AGAIN!

So let me ask you what happens every 32 seconds? Car theft, violent crime, divorce, a baby is born, a car is manufactured, a Big Mac is consumed?

Well I have no idea if any of that happens every 32 seconds or not, what I do know is that is the amount of time it takes for my sump to cycle with all the water pouring in from the snow melt, and deluge of rain the last two days. Sooo why all of this and why do you or I care? Well as some of you that have followed this thread for ages know I have a unique sump pump layout/arrangement. Well I find out last night that the pump in the first sump, has gone belly up and water is spilling over to the second pit/pump (as it is supposed to do) so I check to make sure if the secondary pump fails that the emergency backup will work, it does and it keeps up with little effort. I sleep downstairs to keep an eye or was it ear on things. Not much I could do if things went bad but at least I would know quickly.

First thing this morning I make a trip to Menards and buy an exact replacement. Come home and change out the pumps and all is well (so far). Later today I went back to Menards to return the faulty pump (it has lifetime warranty) so now I have a standby in case the stores are closed like they were last night where I can't do anything but watch and wait. Thanks Menards for making the exchange painless.

So once again I have a new sump (the old one lasted almost two years before it went belly up this time) and the plan continues to work. Makes me nervous though when I am down a pump.

Fun stuff!

I know. I'm just giving you a hard time. I miss the great Pats vs. Colts matchups. Actually felt bad for Peyton yesterday.

I'm glad that you got the sump pump fixed without incident.

Sorry about the Seahawks. I can't believe they let the Falcons push forward for that last field goal and then gave the kicker a second chance.

Did you see that post game interview with Gonzales? How can you not want him to win?

College? Well, my LSU Tigers lost to Clemson... I'm a graduate from both, but bleed purple and gold.

I can't seem to get anyone together for a Super Bowl party...seeing as how it's late on a work night. Wish they'd change that!
