Discrete codes for Panasonic video devices?

Hey guys, I'm trying to find codes for my Panasonic projector... hex codes would be great if anyone has them!

Thanks!

It would help if we knew which projector and more importantly, which remote.

Sorry the projector is the AX100U Panasonic. As far as which remote, I have both the URC MX-950 as well as a trusty old Pronto Pro I keep around for the purpose of entering hex codes and teaching everything else

Thanks!

Try the AE900 commands in the IR database. I believe they're the same. If that doesn't work, just learn them from the AX100 remote. There aren't any discrete commands available to my knowledge, if that's what you're looking for.

I have a panasonic TAU TV. The original remote has no discrete input commands, but discrete input commands appear in the Logitech database, and all of them work except for the tuner input. Well I called Logitech tech support trying to figure out of there was a way to fix the tuner command (although i dont have a remote with this command on it). That was two weeks ago, and after 10 emails back and forth Logitech still has NO IDEA what I am asking.

I just wanted to wish you good luck, because I am about to go into hysterics.

LOL I know it can be annoying. I don't believe the Panasonic projector remote has buttons for each input, rather a button to cycle through inputs. Obviously I can program macros to cycle, but they get screwy when you have multiple inputs on the projector being used, and my HDMI switching receiver doesn't work with my VGA inputs

do the inputs have numbers next to them? My TV for example lets me hit TV/Video to bring up the menu, then the number keys 1-8 to select an input. its not as elegant as discrete but it works just as well. you have to pick toshiba style input if you are using a harmony

(by the way im still on hold with logitech... 35 cellphone minutes wasted so far, plus the 30 from last time .... i just need closure )

The Panny projectors use paired inputs (ie: COMP1 and COMP2, PC and HDMI), so if you're not using both inputs of a pair (ie: just one component input), the individual commands work like discrete input commands.

In the case of my AE700 at least, unused input aren't skipped, so this doesn't work. eg if I'm already on the HDMI input, and I wanted to select a new activity that also uses the HDMI input, then the PC/HDMI command will select the PC input(even though there's nothing connected to it). This was the main reason I could never get a URC remote to work well with my system, although it might be possible with variables on the MX950?

Yeah I guess it boggles my mind why manufacturers don't do this, when they know we need it. It's not like it allows anyone to hack or otherwise comprimise their product.

My Samsung DLP and LCD TVs all handle it great. DAMMMMIT

Yes, if you're already on HDMI, pushing that button will switch to PC. If you switch to another input that you're not using first (ie: Video), then back to HDMI, it should go to HDMI, not PC.

Otherwise, the workaround is to not include the HDMI command in a macro that is fired when you're already on HDMI. Only include it in macros on devices that use other inputs. Also, when in those devices, program the "Off" macro to switch back to HDMI. That way the default state will be HDMI and you won't need to have that command in macros for devices using HDMI. I still don't see why they can't give you discrete access to each input though, as it's available via RS232 control.

Thanks Mike! I used the au900 (I think that's what it was) from the URC DB and it works perfectly!

My wife and kids thank you...
