I can get my hands on a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 but the picture seems yellowish or greenish. Can anybody say that this is a colour wheel problem or something else in the TV?

I don't even know where to begin...

The Sony XBR1s don't have color (or colour ;-) wheels so its something else that is well known around here (been there, done that, got the T-shirt ;-)
There is an XBR1 Owner's thread close by in the threads list. Start at the end and them work backwards. Or, do a search for green stuff and take a day off work to read the results.

To buy a new XBR1 and take your chances is one thing. Many people, myself included, have experienced green problems and got out of the TV after repairs and replacements. Many others have not had a problem (I didn't to start with). But to start with a green set is not recommended as it will need to have its light engine (aka optical block) replaced. This could be done under Sony's warranty, or even get the set replaced, if you are willing to go through the "process" and hassle.
How much is the seller asking for that 60XBR1 and is it from a retail store or a private individual (who could be unloading it because of the green problem).

This is from a company that repossesses electronics and he has this tv that he will sell for $400. The tv works fine but the colour is off looking yellowish and i was wondering if its worth it. So is this tv a LCD or DLP? Thank you for the advice.

Its an LCoS, which is a derivative of LCD.
Fire up the TV, go to the memory stick viewer screen (with menu color set to Gray) and see if there are any green blobs or stains in the middle, corners or edges.
If you can take a pic and post it here we can try and diagnose the problem.

If you could be sure that Sony would still honor the warranty on that TV you could pick it up for $400 and have Sony replace the OB and if that doesn't work, maybe even replace it with another TV.
