Band Of Bugs

I only downloaded the demo, and spent 10 minutes with it, so I was wondering what you thought about it? Worth the 10 bucks?

It seemed Final Fantasy Tacticsish, only you could move any character when it was your turn, not the character who's turn it was.

It sounds like my kind of game, but I'll need to wait until tonight at the earliest to download the demo and give it a shot. From what I've heard, I'll probably pick it up.

I'm enjoying it. Since dead characters are alive again for the next battle, it is pretty easy to use them as cannon fodder time and time again :P That healer guy dies almost every time! I wish you could attack, THEN move (maybe you can, I should try to see if I can attack anyone along my travel path), plus some explanation of all those symbols below each character would be nice. I have no idea what that opposing arrow symbol means, nor what a level increase means, and new abilties seem to appear unannounced.

Anyway, it looks good, the battles are short and sweet, and I feel it was worth the $10.

Reminds me of Worms which I have grown to like a lot. I think it is worth the 800 pts.

Plus anything with bees that are Ninjas can't be but so bad.

And remember Ninjas > Pirates.......

I downloaded it and played through the first 8 missions last night. I thought it was pretty good, but the way the turn system works is a little strange, with the two sides alternating moves (rather than using an individual initiative system or a whole side at once system). Hence, this can cause problems, because if one has a mortally wounded character, one has the choice of either healing him with a healer or attacking with him with the injured character to try to kill the enemy, but only one of the two, since that enemy will probably move and attack after one of the two characters takes their action.

I really enjoyed this one. I managed to finish the achievements over the weekend. It's great to see new games (rather than updated 80s games) on the Arcade.

Oh yeah!

I like the alternating turns system. It allows you to react to the enemy without having to wait an entire turn. And it does make for some tough decisions, since if you're not careful you could end up being reactionary for your entire turn if the enemy is aggressive. I'm enjoying the game so far, although I have yet to take it online. Hopefully I'll get there soon (although with Carcassonne coming out this week, it's going to be tough to find time).

Yeah, it's certainly different in that respect.

I was a little disappointed with how short the game was, i.e. the 20 campaign missions seemed to fly right by. Still, considering the game was only $10, it's not a bad value at all, particularly for those who like to play online.

One of the achievements mentions getting coins with ants? Where is that game mode at?
