Sherbourn sound vs. Rotel sound

I'm considering a Sherbourn 7/1250A and a Rotel RMB-1095. Forgetting the difference in power.. and number of channels.. how does the sound of the two compare? I read one review that said the Sherbourn might be a little brighter sounding.. the consensus on the Rotel is that it's pretty neutral.

Anybody with real-world experience with the two? If not with these particular models, with Sherbourn vs. Rotel sound in general?

I've got a pretty good source on a new Sherbourn... any Rotel 1095's I'd have to find used... or a 1075 would probably be good too.

Thanks..

I'd give the Sherbourn a shot. I've never really thought they were bright. Hard to say. Of course many would argue in a blind test nobody could tell them apart.

I don't really subscribe to that, but those nice Sherbourn's sure do kick ass is all I will say about it. Dare say, I actually prefer them over the Rotel.. Not that I have ton of experience with the Rotel, pretty much expeirence, well a lot more experience anyways with recent Sherbourn amps though.

I love them. Right up there with the top price performance leaders in my book.
