More evidence that Blu-ray is winning

As I'm sure most readers know, on the AVS Forum home page there is a count for how many viewers are looking at each subject area. For the longest time, the number of viewers of the HD-DVD players area was always larger than that of the Blu-ray players area. For the past week or two, however, I've noticed that the number of Blu-ray player area viewers is now consistently higher than for the HD-DVD player area. The trend seems obvious (and maybe inexorable).

I have noticed this going back and forth between the two. Right now more on the HD DVD software, but more on the Blu-ray hardware. Check again later and it could be reversed.

The idea that one can determine who is winning the war based on anything to do with AVS Forum is ridiculous. The truth is that neither format is winning in the real world outside of AVS (SD DVD outsells/outrents BD and HD-DVD by far), and both are niche products for years to come, making these format war arguments rather silly.

I agree with BillP. not to mention, sometimes the fanboys spend more time arguing in the enemy's forum than the the one they side with.

Sorry. This thread is doomed, we'll just kill it now.
