So, nobody has ordered the rear wall mounts from SVS??

I ordered the stands. I'm glad I didn't order the rear mounts(I considered it) The speakers are much larger than I thought they were and wouldn't have worked well on my wall since they are too big for the wall in my setup. But they do sound excellent.

+1 on both points--the MBS are healthy-sized for sure and take a special room/situation to use them on the wall, and they do sound fantastic!

Unfortunately, I dont think I could use the stands, I would have to put one right next to me head & the other about 6ft away.

I know the rears are large but mounting them on the walls gives me more (& equal) distance from the seating area.

No worries, that's how Ron (of SVS) has his! Just know that those MBS will handle anything the surround channels can throw at them--they are exceptional at getting loud!

When you got yours, did the speakers & sub come via 2 different shipping companies, if so, did they arrive the same day???

There is not enough room in the box for the rear mounts. Those are probably in the same shipment as box 2 of X.

Fair warning: you will need help from a friend to hang these. And when you think you have the teeth tight enough around the rubber ball on the mount, keep tightening. I woke up the next morning with the speakers sagging against the wall and had to start over.

I ordered those stands as well, haven't had a problem since the end of Sept. It's only 2lbs, they'll be fine.

That's just it (see bold) the speakers are coming in 2 shipments from 2
different shipping companies...UPS & BaxGlobal.....the UPS shipment contains 5 boxes (5 speakers, correct?) & the BaxGlobal contains 1 box which has to be the sub due to the weight of the box.

Unless they packed the mounts in one of the speaker boxes I am 1 box short...unless two of the speakers come in one box.

It iturns out the two rear speakers comer in 1 box, so my mounts are coming via UPS with the speakers.

Now, how does one go about removing the pb13 ultra from it's box without destroying it (the box) in the event I need to send the sub back???

Hi Cam,

Open the bottom, pull box up and over the pb13.

or

Open top and bottom, slide/push pb13 on it's side.

Fold boxes and store.

This is what I was thinking, but I was worried about rolling it over on it's side.....and I hadn't thought about opening both top & bottom to fold for storage...

You all probably already saw that the SV Sound MTS package received "Certified and Recommended" by Sound & Vision, but they also received one of the 20 "2008 Editor's Choice Awards" from them as well:

Can anyone tell me how the MTS-01 compare to a Rocket 850, 450 and SC200 (Big Foot) HT system? I already own the PB-13 which will be integrated to either system.

I'm openly biased, but a guy near me has the Rocket set, and I thought they looked a lot better than they sounded. I think the SVS look good, and sound better.

I agree with Rob as well. I have a friend who has Rocket 1000 and I thought the MTS Towers had more detail than the Rockets did for both 2 channel and HT audio.
For the longest time I was auditioning for tower speakers from Axiom M80's, Polk Audio LSi 15's and the SVS MTS line.
In my opinion I thought Axioms M80's were good but not as detailed as the LSi15's. The SVS towers I thought had the best detailed sound out of the three speakers and for the price of the SVS towers it was a no brainer for me to pick the MTS line.
These are just my thoughts and my thoughts only.

Can someone give me a real life measurement of the height of the MCS-01 center speaker. The web specs say 10". I just checked my Entertainment center and I literally have 10 1/8" so it is going to be tight. Should I be worried about the speaker being so tight in there? Considering pulling the trigger on the full MTS-01 family.

it is 10 inches if i remember correctly. Possibly 9 and 7/8 ths.

I wish I had 10 1/8" of space.

Any concern with it being so tight for me?

I ended up wall mounting the center above my screen, just resting the leading edge of the mount on top of the set.....if I was at home I could give you the true dimension.

I dont see why there would be any concern as long as it fits.....

I just measured mine. 9-7/8" flush with the top.

Well, one of us does not know how to measure...mine is 10.25".

I hope somebody else can chime in.....

I think mine is between 10.125 and 10.25

I thought it was right at 10 inches or slightly below.(it doesn't matter for me either way since my stand only has around 9.5 inches)

It's kind of difficult for me to measure exactly since it's curved on the sides.

Take the front grill off & measure the flat surface for a true height...

Hmm, quite the range. Now I'm worried. If it won't fit in the stand I'm not sure it will pass the WAF. The difference between what Ed measured and what Cam measured is only .375" but if on the top end of that then it won't fit

Maybe Aaron will take the grill off his & measure it as I suggested to get a more accurate dimension......
