Is Denon "Denon-Link" still relevant for the 4308 due to HDMI 1.3

I've got a Denon 3903CI and I just pre-ordered the 4308. One of the motivating factors in ordering the receiver was I wanted to utilize the Denon-Link connection from my DVD player.

With the HDMI 1.3 connection on the 4308, would Denon-Link still be relevant? Would I want to utilize that connection in the future?

If your player's HDMI support is below HDMI 1.2, then the SACD support on Denon Link will remain relevant.

Otherwise, HDMI 1.1 and higher should be sufficient to carry the PCM decoding of any other format.

As of now, there are no DVD players that output SACD in DSD format over HDMI. I think you made a good choice sticking with a Denon receiver to pair with your 3930CI.
