I'm looking for software that will convert 16:9 HD recordings (either 720p or 1080i/p) to something that I can burn on DVD.

I'm expecting it to be letterboxed for 4:3. Either that or chop the edges to 4:3.

The SW I have (pinnacle) just squishes the video to 4:3.

Is there any freeware out there?
