Hey guys, I am having a huge issue with video which has driven me nuts. (not literally
What I have is two source devices:
1) Motorolla Box via component video cables and optical audio. (YES it is set to 720p)
2) A samsung DVD player via Svideo and rca audio. (not upconversion, just a regular old dvd with a recorder function which I don't have any use for)
My output (monitor) is a DLP 52inch Toshiba via HDMI.
What I see is whatever I'm supposed to see, but more! I see a flashing green screen on top of ANY video output; it even flashes on top of my semi-OSD AND my OSD. It acts kind of like a camera flash except its green.
I have tried everything, pressed a bunch of buttons and I could find no cure. So I went over to my retailer and exchanged it. What do you know? Same problem still exsists.
Some things to note:
my devices have been tested and work directly with my display
my cables are FINE, they're all monster brand(I got connections
) and I have tried different HDMI cables.
What I noticed is if I switch my source by the remote to HDMI 1 or 2... the problem stops. But I would rather not use HDMI in due to HDCP repeater problems.
Sorry for my long post, but can someone give me that magical solution to solve this problem?
