I was wondering what would be the best sealed enclosure for the IXL would be. I was thinking 2 in a 12cf box powered with a EP2500. I am pretty new to DIY but am about to start a project. Would you go sealed with the IXL 18 or ported? What would be the differences in ported vs. sealed? I do not know how to use the programs with graphs, but and trying to learn as much as possible on here. Thanks alot!

Well, I think I'm the only guy who's tried both so far, and I like the ported better. Seems to give it a more effortless sound, and as is with all ported vs. sealed configurations, it gets lower extension. Really It's a matter of preference of whether you like the sealed sound or the ported sound. If you're using it for HT, however, definitely go ported for the lower extension.

Either way you go you won't be disappointed with the IXL's, they're great performers!
