Would it be nice to remote play without having to put the PS3 into Remote Play Mode?

We have total wifi remote play capability using the PSP to PS3...but we have to put the PS3 into the remote play mode. This sucks. I want to be able to connect to my PS3 from my PSP using wifi but when my PS3 is in any mode, either in the XMB or folding@home or paused in a game. I want to be able to connect to it from my PSP. I think sony will be able to do this once they get the XMB in game working.

I can understand not being able to watch a bluray movie or play a PS3 game over remote play...but once the new PSP2 comes out with 802.11n (hopefully) we would be able to even do that.

Anybody else want to be able to do this?

You could like use your PSP at work. Connect to your PS3, and stop a folding@home session and download a movie trailer or new game demo or something while at work or on the run.

Come on sony lets do this!

I was thinking this the other day. I have to turn on my whole home theatre system to get my PS3 into remote play mode. It would be much easier if only my PS3 had to be on. I'm sure more than anything, it's a security measure the way it's currently setup.

I'm sure its only a matter of time...unless its undoable.
