If the date/time you guys settle on works with my screwy schedule, I'd love to finally check it out. (the procrastinator in me works much better if things are decided before I get involved )

I'm still planning on making it out. Don't know if I'll have time to hang out for a full movie, but I'll be there for what I'm sure will be awesome demo. I only ask that you don't fire up any of those movies you listed while I'm there... haven't seen any of 'em, and if I get sucked in, I may not have the will to leave and get anything else done!

Ok, as long as I'm home by June... I think that's when the baby is due.

I have a Harmon Kardon AVR 146 5.1. I plan on upgrading this summer to a 7.1 as I have my rear speakers hooked up with the sides not sure what receiver yet. Plus a couple of bigger subs

Scott,
Just wanted to thank ya for the tour... I had a great time. It was great to meet everyone and it was an awesome demo (gonna have to throw Eagle Eye in to the Netflix queue, wish I could've stuck around for the whole thing!) The room looks and sounds great, that's gonna be amazing if you go through with those upgrades you talked about... hope you'll do another demo then as well.

Keep us posted on bar and rest of the basement, looks like that'll be a great project too. Man, I wish I had the skills and patience that you have!

Thanks again... hopefully I'll have something worth showing sometime this summer.

Cool, look forward to some pinball

Thanks Scott. That huge screen makes quite an impact. I have a feeling my screen wall and puny little 96" will be in for a change before long.

Thanks Dan

I can't wait to upgrade to a better projector that can do that huge screen justice. I do think the picture looks great but think it could be a whole lot better.

Thanks for the invite, it was a blast and the theater is beautiful. I can't wait to see it once the woodwork is complete and the star ceiling is installed, it's only going to get better.

I don't know what your plans for the gameroom are, but if you are going to build your own arcade machine, I have a book on how to do that and you are welcome to borrow it. I built one for our basement and it also doubles as a jukebox:

Funny you should mention a mame as I was looking at some last night on EBay
post #472 of 1201
I was thinking about bringing the book over on Saturday to show you and see if you were interested, but then I thought about all the other stuff you have going on and then decided you had enough balls in the air at one time.

If you do build one yourself, besides the book I also have a portable hard drive with all of the software and stuff, you can borrow that too.

Hello all

It has been a while since I have posted any photo's of whats been happening at the copper Fields build and I know how much everyone loves pictures

I only have trim work left in the theater so I am going to work my way out and into the Bar/game room. Room size is about 20' x 23' and 9' x 10' where the door to the basement comes in. Once electrical and sheet rock are done I'm going to be starting on the wet bar.

I have combed the Internet for custom bar photo's for months and have found one that I really like and plan to build mine as close to what you see but with a L shaped bar.

Here are a few photos of this sweet bar setup

I'm thinking a lobby sitting area here with a couch and chair this spot is 9' x 10'

Hall way leading up to component/computer room and Theater all the way at the end

I could not wait to get this room done and moved in at some point I will build the components in a wall unit and a custom built in computer desk

Thanks john

I wish we were all close enough to check out all the killer home theaters that are being built. We could do a parade of HT's luckily we have this great forum to show off our handy work for all the other crazy people out there that have been sucked into this addiction
