Heres are just a few movies I have converted
Joe black (720p)
Terminator 2 (720p)
Terminator 3 (1080p) I know this wouldnt work but thought sod it any way!
We were soldiers (720p)
Planet of the apes (720p)
I have done several MKV's,(including Joe Black) and have seen this problem many times..(over network)
when I burn them to a DVD-r (and use my usb dvd-rom drive connected to tvix), or use my external USB HDD, they play perfect, no freezing..
I have however, ran into some files that when converted, you get a freeze (both audio and video), while counter continues to count up.. Then, the video/audio starts to play again..
On these files, it happens on dvd-r, HDD, network...
So those files are indeed converted bad.. Even my pioneer blu-ray player (has built in media player), freezes on these files...
One last problem I have seen, on bad converted files, you will see the video speed up (like you were FF the video), for a few seconds, then video contines to play perfect..
Thes also do it on my pioneer... So any of these weird problems are NOT TVIX FAULT... just the conversion...
I figure, if my TVIX, and Pioneer media server(two totally different beasts, one with the sigma .23 chip, and the pioneer with .34 chip) do the same error on the same files, then the conversion is to blame..
My pionner, however, does not get the freeze frame problem(where audio contines, then video starts again), over the network.. It uses UPNP, not NFS...
