Biometrics ~ Outdoor Fingerprint Reader

Looking to do something better than simple keycode garage opener for entry access.

I am thinking fingerprint, with 2 small kids I don't want a card or token for them to loose.

It would need to be all weather supported including rain and snow.

It would tie into a door strike, and would like to have it feed back into HAI system, to log events like person/entry time.

Sagem MorphoSoft

or

EKO

Any suggestions.

Just looking for something small, so the EKO is a plus there, but I want to be able to send off alters and such when the kids come in or whatever ...

TIA,

You should have a backup plan...

The ones indoors aren't perfect, the outdoor ones get dirty 10 times faster.

I was just going to use it with an electric door strike, so I _believe_ that I could still use a key as a backup plan. Correct ?

The indoor one I have lets you either use fingerprint, or a key , or a code on the keypad it has. I've never had to use either...but there is a backup..actually 2 on mine.
