Panny EH75VS connected to DTV DVR

Thread Starter
Currently I have an EH75VS connected to a DirecTV H20 receiver. I found that I can upgrade the receiver to an HD DVR and since I can't get the guide working with the H20 receiver I'm considering doing the upgrade. Does anyone know of any problems or limitations with this proposed set-up? I was thinking that I could record to the DVR and then transfer the recorded material to the Panasonic unit, but I'm not sure if this can be done, as I still want to be able to record things to disc.

Assuming you keep using the S-video connection from DVR to DVDr there should be no diff.

i have a hd tivo outputtting by s video to a pioneer 533 hdd dvd recorder and it works great. if it is a hd program i just change output to 480i and works that way too. should work fine if they send you a hr20 in place of your h20.

Ditto , except I use an es-dmr 35 in one and dmr-15 Panasonic for each of two HD-Tivos. You will be able to record 16x9 straight out of S video 480i.

Cheers
