I am hoping someone out there can help me with this problem that I have spent days trying to solve. I have 2 monitors, one being a pc monitor with a res of 1024 x 768 and a Jvc projector with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. I have just switched from a nvidia 8500gt to a ATI 2400 pro. In nvidia I had a hotkey that would switch primary monitor from the pc monitor to the projector when I wanted to watch a movie. When I switched to the projector the resolution would auto change to 1920 x 1080 and then when I would switch back to the pc monitor it would change back to the native res of 1024 x 768. Now I thought I could sort this out quickly to do the same thing in the ATI catalyst center but no joy. I have set up a hotkey to swap displays which works. When I use the hotkey to switch display from the pc monitor to the projector the resolution on the projector does not change from the pc monitor resolution which is 1024 x 768 and I have to manually change the res to the 1920 x 1080. Now I have the projector at 1920 x 1080 resolution and when I use the hotkey to switch back to the pc monitor I get a message of out of range. This is because the resolution of 1920 x 1080 is being sent to the pc monitor which it cannot accept. I am sure that the solution is staring me straight in the face but I cannot see it so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
