Service menu on Hitachi plasma

How do I get the service menu to pop up so that I may change some of the defaults? I have the 42HDS69.

In particular, I want to change the speed of the menu coming on, change maybe the color defaults and also change the speed of the channel changing.

Some one please help!!

I tried what your forum suggested, but all 3 methods were not able to make the service menu appear. Any more thoughts?


...nevermind about that, I got it to work. I had to do it quite fast to make it come up. I wasn't able to find the options that I wanted to make it perform better. ( above ). I did change the ir blast from 3 to 1 thinking it made the remote response faster. It did not. Can you give me a little more help?
