Has ANYONE received their 5 free HD-DVD's from Toshiba? - Page 42

What titles did you receive?

On a side not, I received all 5 of my Blu-ray discs I ordered through their similar rebate offer. They didn't even destroy the case by gouging out the UPC like Toshiba did on 3 of my 5 HD DVD's. Blu's took two and a half months to get here. Go Blu!

I had requested: The Italian Job, Swordfish,The Frighteners, Darkman, and The Thing.

What I got: The Italian Job, Swordfish, Jar Head, Spy Game, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. As to the substitutions: Jar Head- I had recorded this off HBO and hadn't gotten to watching it yet. So I'll keep this one. Spy Game- haven't seen it in ages so it's worth looking at it again. Fast Times... well 4 out 5. I think I saw some copies of Darkman and The Thing still on Amazon ( I think they will eventually be on Blu-ray but it will be awhile). I think the Frighteners will be on Blu-ray sooner.
Overall not bad for a free disc offer. And if anybody really wants a copy of Fast Times at Ridgemont High you know what forum to go to.

Finally got mine a couple days ago. Of the five ordered, only one came. The other four are good titles though. Now looking forward to watching 12 Monkeys again but this time in HD.

who can i call to find out whats going on? i dont know if anyone here bought a ps3 and applied for the free blurays but i wanted to see if anyone got theirs? i got a letter that said i was too late and i sent it in mid feb also.

Just got mine yesterday. Sent Feb 25 got Harry Potter combo disc,Troy,Casino,Italian job,and the chronicles of riddick.Only one i remember ordering is troy, oh well they were free!

I ordered Italian Job and got The Hulk instead! Their stock availability must be quite variable

Honestly I'm thrilled, other than the fact that I already had The Departed. The only one I really wanted from the form was Babel, and that's the only one I got, and I love 12 Monkeys and have been meaning to watch Blood Diamond!

Yes, I've read seveal recent reports of the Italian Job being substituted now. When I called about a month ago that was the one title they were not substituting.

It will be interesting to see what titles I end up getting.

I had called back on April 16th and I was told that my order was in "Ready" status but that it had not shipped yet. I thought my order was moving along since I had been told previously that it was in the "Processing" stage.

But I called again yesterday and I was told that it was again in the "Processing" stage.

Sometimes I think that they just read randomly from a list of prepared responses.

I got mine today, after being told last week it was still in processing and to expect 3 or 4 more weeks. I ordered Italian Job (got), Hulk (subbed with Serenity, even better, as I wanted Serenity in the worst way!), Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (subbed with Harry Potter OOTP), U2 Rattle & Hum (got) and Troy (subbed with Troy Director's Cut).

I really wanted Charlie, so I'm sort of bummed but the sub of Serenity for Hulk was a nice, nice bonus, so I'm ok with what I got, it certainly could have been worse.

Got mine in today. Shipped out my rebate on 2/28.

Received mine today. I only received one that I actually picked which was The Italian Job.

Overall I'm happy. Really wanted Troy, The Italian Job, and The Hulk and got 2 out of 3 along with the sub of Serenity which I probably was going to buy sooner or later. Got five movies I will watch for free!

The only two I had originally ordered were "Troy" and "Babel," but I was pleased to get "The Departed" and "Blood Diamond."

Not sure what to do with "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," however.

i just called the number right now and the rep said my dvds shipped on may 1st. i sent the rebate in on the 27th of february. he said that it could take up to 3-4 weeks for delivery but they usually arrive before that.

What? You don't like Fast Times?

Would you prefer one of my substitutions (Dante's Peak) instead? You certainly won't learn anything about Cuba with Dante's Peak.
