Has ANYONE received their 5 free HD-DVD's from Toshiba? - Page 43

Sent form 2/19 and received 5/5. Only received one movie of the five requested.

Received mine yesterday as well... Can remember what I checked, but I know I did not check "Dawn of the dead"

I got mine yesterday. I only got one of the movies I checked (Troy). The others I got were HP:OOTP, Casino, The Departed, and Aeon Flux. I havent seen Casino or Departed so I am happy with what I got.

I sent my Rebate in on Feb 25th.

Finally got 'em yesterday 5/7. Submitted the stuff February 11 so it was almost 12 weeks. They substituted 3 out of the 5 that I ordered.

I got mine a couple days ago. I have no clue what I requested though, so here is just what I got:

I can't remember if I requested Italian Job, but when I opened the package I was hoping it was in there...

I received mine yesterday s well.
Have 1 title from what they sent (Harry Potter Combo Disc) and I will be able to gift it to a good frend of mine so that's cool by me.

I mailed my request for the following titles at the end of February:

1) The Thing
2) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
3) The Frighteners
4) Darkman
5) The Italian Job

Yesterday I received the following:

1) Casino (UPC Scuffed, Case Perfect)
2) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (UPC and Case Perfect)
3) The Chronicles of Riddick (UPC and Case scratched)
4) The Mummy (UPC Scratched, Case Perfect)
5) The Italian Job (UPC and Case Perfect)

The Italian Job was the only one I requested but I'm happy with the substitutes that they sent. (Unfortunately, I had already purchased several of them previously.)

Harry Potter was a substitute for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That was on the substitute list I was given about a month ago. I'm not sure what was substituted for The Thing, the Frighteners, and Darkman. I didn't receive any of the substitutes for those titles that were on the list.

Mine arrived also with a note stating that they were out of "one or more of my original choices". I think that I ended up with
1. Black Rain
2. Harry Potter: Oder of the Phoenix
3. Fast Times at Ridgemont High (already owned)
4. The Departed
5. Aeon Flux

Only one (Black Rain) was checked by myself (or mostly my wife-she pretty much decided upon which movies we were getting). Oh, well, it's five free movies and these aren't too bad.

Ended up with the following:

Italian Job (ordered)
Harry Potter - Order of the Phoenix (ordered Charlie and Choclate Factory)
Serenity (ordered The Hulk - huge upgrade!)
Departed (ordered Firewall)
Troy (ordered)

3 of 5 were substitutions. But I'm very happy with the substitutions, particularly Serenity.

got one of the five. received harry potter:OOTP and already had that one. really wanted charlie and the chocolate factory for my daughter, instead got dawn of the dead, which i had no desire to see.

I got 3 of the 5 I requested. I did get 5 discs, although 1 had a slightly mangled UPC. Not too bothered as I will more than likely oust all 5 via ebay.

The inlaws got 5 HD DVDs in the mail Friday. Rebate was sent in on 03/10 and USPS tracking said they received it on 03/17.

have sent it months ago (4-5) and didn't expect to get anything. Got five today, 3 of them not what i've asked for, but I'm happy nonetheless.

sent in my 5 free hd-dvd rebate offer at the end of february. still waiting on my 5. ill probably call in toshiba tomorrow. its been about 11 weeks now. last time i called they told be it was being processed. i hope i can get it in before the summer. getting bored with what i have left and i need to add more to my collection. no places in hawaii are holding or selling hd-dvds anymore. haha. except for suncoast and sam goody... although used only.

I got mine in the mail earlier this week from an A2 I purchased back in February.
Trouble is, one of the movies they sent me (Spy Game) had the disc knocked loose in the case which managed to get pretty scuffed up during the mailing process.

It plays, but skips and locks up on certain scenes consistently. I've tried cleaning the disc and the usual remedies but no luck. Am I out of luck with regards to getting a replacement or what can I do?

Call the 1-800-405-7520 number on the rebate form and explain what happened. Maybe they'll send you a replacement.

so i sent mine the end of feburary and i called today, i was told it was processed and they do not have a time frame on when i will receive them.

It has been five months now that I been waiting for my 5 free HD DVD's I sent them three letters the fist time the P.O. Box was changed and it took a month to get my letter back. So the second time I figured I better make copies and send them in case I don't get the bar codes back. Well two moths later I get a letter requesting the bar codes from the box so I sent them right out and and still nothing. So I'm glad i found this forum with with a phone number to call I will call and let you all know how I made out... It should of never took this long at all not after what we paid for the TV and HD DVD player some promotion...

What does the price of the TV have to do with this promotion?

5 months? That's a bit outside the norm even for them. Yes, start giving them a call weekly. Maybe they'll move faster if they see that you're going to be bugging them every week.

The phone number was on the rebate form.

I was told two more weeks before they are shipped out keep you posted...

It was a package deal we didn't just get the TV we also bought the DVD player. It was sold as a package and you get 5 free HD DVDs when you spend thousands of dollars I should of been given a coupon to pick up my movies at any store or they could of been sent to me in a few weeks... Now it has been Months later and still nothing... Did you get yours?

hmmm. i bought my add-on the day it went on sale for $50, sent rebate in the next day and i still havent gotten mine yet. maybe its because i live in hawaii. arrrgh!

nope, the guy said it had processed, i said great how long until i receive them? he said there is no set time frame.

Geez they cashed my cheque like 2 months ago and still no dvds....hmmm...

I haven't gotten my 5 movies from the $50 add-on either.

I did call the "800" number last week, and by rebate was received and processed, just not shipped yet. The woman didn't have any idea as to when it would ship.
