Well, I am not even sure whether this forum is suitable for this problem but I am relying on your general knowledge and maybe someone would point me in the right direction.
Here is the problem:

TV: Samsung LE40M87BD
media player: TViX HD M-5100 SH
General description of the problem: No audio on TV set through HDMI cable (TVIX <>TV)
initially I blamed TViX for some inability to play low bitrate MP3 files (48kbps 24kHz) as I have few avi files which played badly with audio stutter. Then I switched to AV cable and found that audio plays well although with low res SDef as you get over AV connection. I was suspecting all the time 'unfinished' TViX firmware and hoped that this issue will be addressed with next FW.
So far I would describe that as nuisance rather than real problem, until two days ago. That day I didnt get any sound whatsoever!!! Then I got worried that my new toy just broke down and would have to RMA (pain in the back). I didnt panic much tough knowing the alleged TViX audio flaw, changed the cables back to AV and got my audio back but together with standard TV output on hidef TV set -hmmm that’s not why I bought TViX and 1080p panel.
Checked the cables again -no results still no HDMI audio. Reset TVIX -reloaded FW, changed settings many times to ensure myself that I am not missing any single thing. Changed HDMI inputs in TV set (3 of them) -no success
Now I have TViX connected to TV over HDMI cable but audio is carried to TV over AV out to AV in (TV) luckily Samsung allows that although only through HDMI 2 port.
HDMI cable is brand new, wasn’t the cheapest one its Thomson Skymaster (1.5 m)
Does anyone have any clue?
