Thanks man, that is actually a pic of the day they got done...since I have gotten some furniture in there and touched up the paint a bit, as well as put some cool posters on the wall. I will post another pic with the setup complete sometime soon. We need some more action in the JAMO thread....these speakers are awesome!

I would love to hear what some of you guys have your crossover settings at on your speakers. I know THX says 80hz is the flat way to do it all around but I have my center at 80 and my two fronts at 60 because they are almost full range. I have all of my surrounds at 100 but if there are some audiofiles out there that have some recs I would love to hear it.

1. NO speaker cables bro, they only come with HTIB(home theatre in box) systems, buy good quality cables i recommend monster xp series.

2. The S606 are awesome for front speakers as they have a 8" woofer in them, so fronts are the best for them.

3.The speakers will work fine with onkyo 606, if u want u can even go for a higher end receiver, these speakers are powerful

I currently run the Polk R300's front and rear. How does the Jamo S606 home theater bundle compare to these? Would this be a pretty good upgrade? I love the way these speakers look, but what matters is how they sound.

Also, what type of cabinet construction are these, bracing and so forth. I would imagine the covering is laminated, am I correct or does the deal get better wth actual wood veneers?

Jamo's 606 HCS should kick the snot of the Polk R300 with steel toed boots, I haven't heard the 606's but I have the Polks....the Polks ain't that bad for a basic system (Fry's has them for under a Grant each).

What would sound better Jamo S606 HCS 6 or 4x Jamo C603, 1x C60 CEN and SUB 250.

Btw my room is 4m x 4m, would the SUB 250 be enaugh or would SUB 550 be better for my room, the price difference between this two subs is just 80€.

Oh and what about Jamo S-718 they look very sexy have better specifications then S606 and are not expensive, 279€ for pair.

Read some of the threads here about speaker wire and cables before following insane advice. (In short, spend your money on the speakers, not the cables.)

I'm bummed, not getting the C805's after waiting almost 3 weeks, after calling the vendor several times he finally stated that he couldn't get the 805's anymore because they are discontinued but he was going to get the next step up and not charge me any more...THE C80 WERE THE TOP OF THE LINE....so I wonder what he's going to offer.

There's no realistic next step up. The R909 and R907 are way above the price range of the C80 series. Even way, way above the C809's price point.

Well, it's either going to be the S606, C807 or C607.

The C807's are also discontinued. So unless he can locate a leftover pair, scratch that. He may be trying to find a leftover pair of C807.

The C607 are still available and in my opinon......are much, much better than the C805. If it were me, I would insist he get you a pair of C607.

Do you mind me asking how much he was charging you for the C805?

I have a pair of C807 and C607. I know how much the C607 can be had for. Want to make sure he's not pulling a fast one on you. Don't let him BS you, the S 606, while being a fine speaker ......are NOT better than the C607. In fact, I get the feeling that's what he's trying to get you. A pair of S 606 which go for about $100.00 more than the C805.

The C807 are just a teeny-weeny tad better than the C607. But you know what, it's so very close. There's things about the C607 I like better than the C807.

Sometimes we have to go great distances for the things we want. I'm sure you will be able to get a pair.

TjMV3, I was getting the 805 for 444 for the pair shipped, I figured that was a hell of a deal. I will not accept any thing less than the 607's, If I don't get the 607's I'm going for the Energy RC-30's (As of now, might change). Changed to the RC-50's.

i'm proud new owner of Jamo s 606 (HCS 3) and this is actually my first encounter with such good (high end for me ) speakers. I don't wanna do anything wrong so i'm taking things a bit cautiously.

I'm not sure how to connect front speakers using single wiring and i don't wanna do anything wrong. If i understand the manual correctly, i have to leave the golden "bracelet" in place and than it doesn't matter which connectors (lower pair or higher pair) i use. Is this correct?

Billzkid, you are correct. Leave the jumper in place and use either pair. I use the lower pair, not really sure why. Enjoy your new Jamo's.

Is a Jamo Sub-200 worth $50? Just for the kids room with a 32" lcd and small Klipsch setup, probably 3.1.

Yea I picked up some 807's about 8 months ago and the dealer said he couldn't find any in a dark apple and that they were discontinued. I traded him my used dark apple C80 SUR for some blacks and then purchased a pair of black 807's to have a matching set. I aready had a black sub. My center is the only dark apple i have now.

Anyhow, I love my Jamo's.

The only problem I have had was when I was running the C80 SUR and CEN that are 6 ohm and D590 fronts which are 4 ohm. I fried my Onkyo 875 twice!! That is why I had to upgrade to the 807 fronts. But this wasn't really a speaker issue but rather an Onkyo issue.

After talking with the vendor he agreed to give me the C607's for the same price I was getting the C805's for, do you think it's a good deal (444 shipped for the pair)? I hope they are great speakers having not heard them, I love the Energy's so I hope there on the same level somewhat, the RC-50 should be comparable to the C607....you think?

TjMV3, when I talked with him he said something about he could get some C809's, he said they were huge. I don't need a speaker that big so I didn't bite.

Hey guys, Just would like to ask that if I have the option to get some Jamo c60cen, c605 towers, and c603 bookshelfs...all for $500. I am thinking it is a good deal, in regards to price?

Hi Guys, I have a trio of C803 in walls in my theater and I am just curious if there are any setup experts out there. I currently have the crossover settings for 60hz for the left and right and 80hz for the center. I know these are pretty large frequency range speakers, 50-24k, but what do you experts recommend setting the crossover at for these guys. They are phonetically similar to the C803 bookshelfs but just in an in wall.

Any response greatly appreciated.

What model of Jamo?

My C607's should be here tomorrow, 3/31, been waiting more than a month for some speakers from this vendor. He was very apologetic but I will never do business with them again. What do you folks think of the C60CEN speaker, the 4" woofers has me concerned thinking there too small.

The C60 CEN are surprisingly good. Don't know if you'll like it or not. Don't know you personally, so it's hard to say.

But I personally think it's a great little Center Channel, for an amazingly great price.

I've heard worse Center Channels, that have bigger cabs, larger drivers, and cost a whole lot more.

The C603 are outstanding bookshelf speakers for two channel music and HT!! They are great for front L/R speakers. The C60 CEN is a great deal for a center channel.

I've never heard the C605, so I can't comment on them.

I had never heard of Jamo until yesterday. I found a local listing of:

Tall floor speaker e-850's
rear speaker e-530's
subwoofer e 8sub
polk audio center channel csi5

They guy is asking $600. Has anybody heard the e-850's? I wouldn't be using the rears, I have polk rc80i's in the ceiling. Would the csi5 center sound o.k. with the jamo fronts? And the jamo subs, are they decent?

Thanks Tj, I really respect your input, I have the Energy Mini RC center with 4" woofers and it does good but it's moving to the bedroom with the Energy RC-10's. I'm kinda excited I'm gonna have these in the bedroom because they sound so good. I really hope the Jamo's are as expected because there is not much on the review side for these speakers, but when I have a hunch about something it usually turns out good (most of the time).
