I also bought the Onkyo TX-SR608 (they matched Amazon's price) and the guy threw in a free subwoofer cable. Vann's was great to work with.
My system will look like this:
Panasonic 50G25 Plasma
Panasonic DMP-BD85 Blu Ray Player
Charter HD Box
Onkyo TX-SR608 Receiver (7.2 Channel)
Jamo S 406 HCS 1 5.0 Speaker System
This is my first system, so far I love the TV and can't wait for the speakers and receiver to come. I ordered 16AWG Enhanced Loud Oxygen-Free Copper Speaker Wire Cable from Monoprice, hopefully it will be sufficient and I didn't need 14AWG?
Also, I kind of want to buy 2 more speakers so I can have 7.1. Any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe two more floor speakers for the surrounds then using the surrounds that come with the set as rears?
Room is about 13' W x 11' L opening up into the rest of the family room and a hallway to two bedrooms (I rent the basement of a split level). TV is on the 13' W back wall.
So I found a second Klipsch Sub 10 and get a phenomenal deal on it so I have one in the front left corner of my room and another behind my recliner.
Got everything setup Friday and watched "The Dark Knight" and "Get Him to the Greek" this weekend. Both sounded awesome.
Here is what Audyssey set everything at, how does it look?
