Well just in stere no bass? Heck my energy point 1e bookshelf speakers have ten times the bass? I just think I'm doing something wrong hooking them up. There I n phase pass tone test but sound like there in a tin bucket with no bass..... And even when I adjust bass on receiver really no change at all? I'm so lost never had this issue before....thanks for the input though any help is great help right now!

Oh and when I bought these very recently they had plenty of good bass and wasn't punchy. Reliever was a Yamaha but didn't seem to special. I listened to them in stero and sounder very good. Good mids a little bright but had very good tight bass! Now no bass and just a tin can sounding speaker? I'm lost rechecked phase three times not and tone test and tried in stereo and 5.1 but just no bass really at all.......

I would much appreciate it if anyone who has a copy can upload somewhere (or send it directly to me).
Also, if anyone is interested I have the PDF of the A 330 owner manual.
Thanks in advance...

Anybody???

Anyways, figured out a way to upload some of the old pdf manuals I have:

Hey guys -
I am planning to grab 3 Jamo THX One LCR speakers on Craigslist tomorrow. - $250~
How are these? I own two sets of Atlantic Technology stuff, and love them. Have owned some PSB and Paradigm stuff.
I figured for such a low price on THX certified gear, it was worth snatching up and trying out. Atlantic Tech THX stuff is great.
In the event they are great, they will be used in the bedroom.

I can't find hardly any info on them, not even on Jamo website, it appears the D500/600 replaced them - and have pretty good reviews. The THX One do not have the same speaker layout - so it appears they must be used vertically for a good sound dispersion. Is this true? Seem like Jamo makes a very budget conscious THX speaker.
Pretty excited to hear them - unless you guys say it isn't worth my time!

Hi guys,

New to this and very novice re the world of Home Theatres

i had purchased Sony Muteki 7.2 HTM7 that i did not like.
http://www.sony.com.au/product/ht-m7

I have. a room that is 5.75 m x 3.75 m

Will the JAMO package as at the following link be any good?

http://www.graysonline.com/retail/bn-j-22be/audio-tv-and-home-theatre/jamo?source=googleps&gclid=CPmHktjGt7QCFUhZpQodJxwANw

Thanks for any help with this.

Best

What exactly did you not like about the Sony set? What are you trying to improve?

That Jamo set doesn't look all that great to me. The center speaker is tiny and so is the subwoofer (8"). I would spend a bit more money on something better.

Probably because of their age smile.gif, what gear do you have?

The room is 14ft x11ft6in with a window at each end so I had to something pretty radical and it was either the firelace or the patio doors! It actually works really well as long as you don't have a yearning for a fire. I sit about 9ft from the screen so the 3D is amazing! I sat watching Captain America with my daughter and we both ducked and hit heads when his shield came out of the screen lol.

Hello everyone,

Im about to order a Jamo 660 sub at a very decent price, anyone else has got one?, if yes what do you think?, cant seem to find much reviews about it, the only one i found was in german and google translate made a whole mess of it smile.gif

Also i noticed that at the back its got a knob Boundary gain compensation BGC which is supposed to be a filter to reduce 20 hz frequencies by up to -5db, do you run audyssey multi eq xt with or without it enabled?, thanks in advance.

Another thing guys, after upgrading to a sub 660 since at the moment my current sub is the weakest link of all the system (Boston Acoustics Soundware S) i want to get a pair of S608 towers, which Jamo center would be adequate for them?, and would my current Denon Avr-1912 be enough to drive them & a good center? , i will be also using x4 soundware S cubes as surrounds & back surrounds for the time being to go with the rest.

Another thing, the jamo's are rated at 6 ohms, would they be a problem with the Denon, thanks?.

I have 4 Jamo towers and a center with my Denon receiver. All are 6 ohm speakers. Not a problem at all.

Don't know anything about the Sub660 but the Sub 650 gets good reviews in the Subwoofer forum.

The s60 center would be the best match for your S608 towers.

Thanks a million for the info afrogt!!, ive done some research and apparently the only difference from the 660 & the 650 is something related to power consumption and a 10 watt difference,so practically theyre the same thing, which makes it easier for me to just go ahead and order to 660 since the 650 is thought highly of wink.gif

Hey guys HT noob here, bought some Jamo S 426 speakers off amazon for 108 I just couldn't resist the price. They came in right before xmas too which was great if I had been home but I was out of town. Anyways I also purchased a bic america sub f12 and a pioneer receiver vsx 1122 k

My question is,I paid 400 for the pioneer receiver can I find something better ? Or should I stick with it ? And Yea 400 is my budget for the receiver.

It has a lot of apple stuff I don't need. I'm an android guy. Any help will be much appreciated biggrin.gif

You can probably get a HK AVR 1700 from your local Best Buy for $199. It has networking, Airplay and is 5.1. If you have all HDMI devices that may be all you need.

The Pioneer has more features but do you need them all? You have to decide that.

Got the 660 sub yesterday, calibrated with Audyssey and very happy with it, this thing can withstand a good beating, the difference from my Boston Acoustics 200 watts 10 inch sub is like night and day. I thought it would not integrate properly with the BA Soundware S sats but i was wrong they actually seem to have come to life with this sub, for anyone who doesnt want to break the bank for a sub this 660 is well worth taking in consideration!.

Last night I watched The Dark Knight and had some trouble with my front right tower - Jamo E660. About 20 minutes into it my Emotiva XPA 5 went into safe mode indicating an issue with the front right tower. I smelled what I believe was a crossover smell. I reset the amp and turned the volume down. With my ear close to the speaker I heard a "fuzzy" sound coming from the one speaker. Could I have just blown or damaged the crossover?

My pre/pro is an Emotiva UMC 1 and usually I don't turn it past 50/100 but I had it at 60/100. The XPA 5 puts out 200/ch at 8ohm and 300/ch at 6ohms. I'm thinking I pushed about 130 watts into the speakers. iirc the E660's are 100rms and 130peak. For awhile I knew these speakers needed to be upgraded since the amp is capable of so much more, but I been patiantly waiting for RF7ii's or CM9's to drop in price since there out of my wallets range.

Do you guys think I blew the crossover or speaker? It doesn't sound like a blown speaker. Anyone have to replace crossovers in their Jamo's before?

Hi ..
Any one using just Jamo S606 HCS3 (5.0) ..I have put them with Denon-1613. (Yes its my first HTS frown.gif
Just wondering any good tips?

my total living main floor is approx 20x20 ft, my tv @ 10ft from the right wall and facing 20ft to the back wall, left side is open and open concept kitchen too all in 20x20ft space
my front towers are around 8ft to each other and im sitting around 9ft away, my surround is almost beside sitting possition @8 ft high.
setup shows my front as Large and rest all small with 60hz on center speaker and 80hz on satellite

Is there any setting before I run the audyssey? like speaker setting etc ?
I did run audyssey..it gave me front speaker Phasing error..(my connection is right..+ to + and -ve to -ve),ignored the error and finished the setup
Any good tip for correction?, Im not fully satisfied with the sound, please refer me to a different thread if required

Appriciate your help:)

Does anyone have any experience with Jamo Graphic Wall Mounted Speakers

How are they in sound quality? Do they have a huge black surface area surrounding the speaker - how it shows on their webiste

Hi guys,

I want to move my Boston acoustics Soundware S sats from the front and put them on the side for a 7.1 setup, i was thinking to get a pair of S506 towers and their matching center the S500 instead, whats your take on them?. My room dimensions are 16 feet x 12 feet, budget is a bit of an issue, some will say go for the 606's but i already have a sub 660 and believe me bass is more than i actually need, so the side woofer is not important to me, i will be using the setup for 80% movies and 20% music, you think id be happy with them?, thanks guys, ah yes....they will be hooked up to a Denon Avr 1912.

Another thing, ive been reading a lot about the s60 center being a bit weak, so i take it the s50 center is even weaker, is it that bad?, im not expecting anything extraordinary for the price, i just want it to sound better than my current BA Soundware S satellite center, which i like the sound of btw.
I own the S60 center and it'll sound much better than the smaller Soundware S cube speaker.

First, The Jamo E825 Bookshelf speaker, small but its most defenitely mighty! 100W Continuous, 140W Peak, the woofer in this speaker sounds like a 10" and the best part about it: The woofer has a separated Cone made of solid aluminum, reasoning behind this? No cone on the woofer makes it lighter, thus making it easier to move. The Aluminum detatched cone keeps the voice coil cool with air moving between the woofer and the cone. A marvelous design I have to admit.

I wonder what a pair of E855's would sound like :O

And last but not least is my little pair of Jamo E500 Satellites, 50W Continuous, 70W maximum, with a Sealed enclosure. These little things are awesome, they give you the high's and the mid level frequencies zing! Best pair of satellites I've owned to date!

Whats your Jamo gear?
I have the C603 for my rears and satellite cubes that came with my i300 for my surrounds. The C603 is awesome. They put my monitor 70 Polks to shame.

I will have the S50 with the s506 mains, went to audition them at a mates house this morning, have to say a huge upgrade from the BA Soundware S sats!, but at least they'll do a good job as surrounds and back surrounds

This is my first post at AVS! I have a pair of Jamo 68's connected to a H/K AVR 7000 using a ERA sub and a Jamo E7 center. This is setup in my bedroom. I have many other Jamo speakers including towers, bookshelf , passive sub and centerchannel. I have always enjoyed Jamo speakers. I will continue to buy them in the future.
